Positives Negatives/limitations

Disaster -Due to a ‘disaster’ being quite action based, the scenes will be quite emotion-provoking therefore will conform to the stereotypical drama conventions.-There could be a wide range of mise-en’-scene due to the various locations, different shots will keep the piece visually engaging. -The storyline is ‘dramatic’ in itself therefore fits into our chosen genre effectively.

-To make this idea possible we would be using Playmobil figurines, similar to what we did in our trailer remake (Life Of Pi). Although, this may mean our shots would prove challenging to complete when movement is required.-The shots will be quite static due to the issue of moving the Playmobil people in a professional manner. We could complete their movement by taking photographs and piecing them together although this would prove challenging and be time consuming.-A our chosen field is drama, I figured after doing some additional research that close ups are used regularly to portray the protagonists emotion. Playmobil people remain with one expression, therefore they

cannot connect with the audience and will not be as visually engaging.

Imaginary Friends

-The main characters would be human, therefore or instantly becomes engaging to our chosen audience, with a lot of emotion-provoking scenes, meaning our piece will conform to the stereotypical conventions of a ‘dramatic’ film.-The storyline offers a variety of twists/turns to take place therefore opens up the opportunities to using several different locations/venues to film. Which offers a wide variety of mise-en’-scene and keeps the trailer visually engaging.-The storyline conforms to the stereotypical conventions of ‘drama’.

- Casting seems to be the biggest issue in the process of creating this film. As we will need to find two young girls and two adults who have enough confidence and would be willing to take part in this time consuming process.
