…We had a great week here at the Ausangate Nursery. Here are a few comments about some interesting things the kids did this week:

Se retomaron las obras de nuestro nuevo local

Con mucha alegría les informamos que este lunes 4 de abril

hemos retomado la construcción de nuestro nuevo local en

Cachimayo-Anta. Durante las primera semanas estaremos rea-

lizando movimiento de tierras para acondicionar los andenes

donde construiremos nuestro nuevo colegio.

Muchas gracias a la empresa TERRANOVA por apoyarnos en

esta emocionante etapa de crecimiento institucional.

Comisiones de transporte y alimentación para el nuevo colegio

Esta semana nuestras comisiones ya han comenzado su traba-

jo. Agradecemos a quienes han asistido y esperamos que en

las próximas semanas tengamos interesantes conclusiones.

Les informamos que nuestro colegio cuenta con una página

oficial en Facebook. A través de ella publicamos noticias y

fotografías del trabajo que hacemos en el Nido y en el Cole-

gio. Los invitamos a revisarla y conocer de cerca lo que hace-

mos día a día.

Construction Begins Again for Our New School

We are very pleased to inform that this Monday, April 4th,

construction was begun again for our new school in Cachima-

yo-Anta. During these first weeks, we will be moving earth to

construct the levels upon which the school will be built. Many

thanks to the company, TERRANOVA for helping us in this exci-

ting stage or institutional growth!

Transportation and Food Committees for the New School

This week our committees starting working. We would like to

thank those who were able to attend and hope to have more

interesting developments in coming weeks.

Toddlers: Empe Yépez y Luz Delia Hirpanoca Esta semana, los niños y niñas de Toddlers aprendieron a reconocerse como miembros de un grupo y a conocer nuestro Nido. Tam-

bién se divirtieron pintando fideos utilizando el color rojo y azul para luego elaborar un collar. / This week the boys and girls in Toddlers

learned to recognize each other as a member of a group and about the Nursery. They also had fun painting noodles red and blue to

then make a necklace.

Preschool: Miriam Aparicio y Camu Ortiz

Los niños de Preschool esta semana realizaron actividades para describir las características físicas y las responsabilidades de sus com-

pañeros y de los miembros de su familia. También mediante juegos reconocieron y asociaron formas geométricas (cuadrado y círcu-

lo) con el sonidos de instrumentos musicales. / The Preschool children this week did activities to discover the physical characteristics and

responsibilities of their classmates as well as their family members. In addition, they played games to identify and associate geometric

shapes (square and circle) with the sounds of musical instruments.

PreKinder Español: Yudy Carpio y Edurne Robles

Esta semana los niños de Pre-Kinder aprendieron diversas adivinanzas sobre las partes del cuerpo. También tomaron conciencia de la

palabra como “unidad” mediante la rima “La rana y el ratón”. / This week the Pre-kinder children learned a variety of riddles about

parts of the body. They also became aware of how a word is a unit through the rhyme “La rana y el raton”.

Pre-Kinder Inglés: Addie Price y Morgan Scott

Esta semana los niños y niñas de Pre-Kinder hablaron sobre sus familias. Específicamente, la clase compartió todas las cosas interesan-

tes que hacen con sus abuelos. Además, trabajaron revisando los colores rojo y anaranjado y los círculos y cuadrados./ This week the

children in Pre-Kinder talked about their families. Specifically, the class shared all the wonderful things they do with their grandparents.

Additionally, the students worked to review the colors red and orange and the shapes circles and squares.

Kinder Español: Edurne Robles y Yudy Carpio

Esta semana los niños de Kinder han llevado a cabo una investigación relacionada al Derecho de Ser Amados, a través de activida-

des cuyo eje fue el cuento de Susana López “La mejor familia del mundo”. Kinder va dando fin a esta unidad de indagación por lo

que agradeceremos que nos informen sobre algún comentario y/o acción que hayan observado en casa relacionada a los trabajos

realizados durante esta unidad. / This week the children in Kinder investigated the right to be loved through a series of activities related

to the story by Susana López, “La mejor familia del mundo”. Since Kinder is concluding this unit of inquiry, we´d love for parents to send

us a comment about any actions observed at home related to what they studied this unit.

Kinder Inglés: Addie Price y Morgan Scott

Esta semana en Kinder, los niños y niñas aprendieron sobre el sonido “t”. Estudiaron vocabulario relacionado a este sonido, tal como

“turtle” y “tiger”. Además, la clase continuó compartiendo historias sobre sus familias./This week in Kinder the students learned about

the “t” sound. They studied vocabulary related to the”t” sound; such as, “turtle” and “tiger”. Additionally, the Kinder class continued to

share stories about about their families.

Permisos para salir del Nido

Como todos ustedes saben, la principal preocupación de Au-

sangate Bilingual School, es la seguridad de nuestros niños/as,

es por ello que somos muy estrictos en temas como autoriza-

ciones de paseo y permiso en el cuaderno de comunicados o

para que otra persona ajena a la familia recoja a su hijo/a del

Nido.

Es por esta razón que debemos recordarles que es obligatorio

enviar una nota en el cuaderno de comunicados o llamar a

Coordinación e informar acerca de los cambios en la rutina

de recojo de su hijo/a, de otro modo, no lo/la dejaremos salir

del Nido hasta confirmar el permiso.

Agradeceremos tomar en cuenta esta información para evi-

tar molestias.

Proyecto BECOMING AEROSOLAR en Qorikancha

Queremos agradecer a todos los estudiantes y sus familias por

enviar bolsas plásticas para apoyar el proyecto BECOMING

AEROSOLAR que consiste en crear un globo con bolsas plásti-

cas para luego hacerlo volar hasta Europa. Como Sétimo gra-

do recolectó la mayor cantidad de bolsas, a nivel de los salo-

nes de secundaria, fueron ayer al Museo Qorikancha a ayudar

a construir el globo aerosolar. Fue una experiencia única para

los estudiantes quienes representaron el colegio de la mejor

manera; trabajaron duro, cortaron y pegaron bolsas plásticas

para formar el globo. Además escribieron mensajes en las bol-

sas y fueron invitados a poner el nombre oficial del globo de

Cusco, “Antarki 2020“.

En los próximos días publicaremos fotos de esta actividad en

nuestra pagina de facebook “AUSANGATE BILINGUAL SCHOOL

(Sitio Oficial)”.

Todos están invitados a ser testigos de la elevación de este

globo hoy entre 12:00pm y 4.30pm. Ojalá muchas familias pue-

dan asistir a esta interesante experiencia. Además, podrán

apreciar la exposición "Becoming Aerosolar - Sobrevolando

Perú" que se está llevando a cabo en el Museo Qorikancha.

Queremos agradecer a Mabel Allain, encargada de Gestión

Cultural del Convento de Santo Domingo Qorikancha por dar-

nos esta oportunidad de participar.

Puntualidad

Les pedimos a las familias que hacen uso de las movilidades

tengan listos a sus niños a la hora acordada con el servicio, ya

que retrasan la llegada puntual de la movilidad al Nido.

Nombres en la ropa

Les pedimos a los padres que le pongan nombre a la ropa

que sus hijos/as traen al Nido, particularmente los gorros y ca-

sacas. Nos encontramos en situaciones en las cuales dos ni-

ños/as tienen, por ejemplo, la misma casaca o chompa y esto

puede causar confusión a las profesoras.

Uso de gorros y bloqueadores

Es obligatoria que nuestros niños usen gorros y bloqueadores

durante la hora en que estén expuestos al sol. Les agradece-

remos cumplir con esta norma y conversar con sus hijos/as

para que las respeten.

Enfermedades

Hemos tenido niños y niñas del nido que han estado enfermos

esta semana. Es muy normal que los niños pequeños se enfer-

men con más frecuencia cuando comienzan a ir al nido. Sólo

les pediríamos que vigilen a sus hijos y no los envíen cuando

tengan malestar, fiebre, diarrea, o cuando es evidente que

se sienten mal. Gracias por su apoyo.

Permission to leave the Nursery

As you know, our principal concern at Ausangate Bilingual

School is the safety of our children. As a result we are very

strict about authorizations for field trips and notes in the com-

munication book if someone else is to pick up your child from

the Nursery.

Please remember that it is mandatory to write a note in the

communication book or call the Nursery office to let us know

about any change in student pick up. Otherwise, we will not

let the child leave until confirming permission.

Thank you for keeping this in mind to avoid any inconvenien-

ces.

Project BECOMING AEROSOLAR en Qorikancha

We would like to thank all of the students and their families for

sending plastic bags to school in support of the BECOMING

AEROSOLAR project which consists in creating a hot-air ba-

lloon out of recycled bags to fly to Europe. Since Seventh

Grade brought the greatest number of bags in all of Secon-

dary, they went to the Santo Domingo Qorikancha Museum

yesterday to help build the aerosolar balloon. It was an ama-

zing experience for these students who were wonderful am-

bassadors for the school; they worked hard cutting and ta-

ping the bags to form the balloon. In addition, they wrote

message on the bags and were invited to determine the ba-

lloon’s official name: “Antarki 2020”.

In the coming days we will upload pictures to our Facebook

page: “AUSANGATE BILINGUAL SCHOOL (Sitio Oficial)”.

Everyone is welcome to witness the elevation of this balloon

between 12:00pm and 4:30pm today. Hopefully many fami-

lies can attend this interesting experience and observe the

Exhibition, “Becoming Aerosolar - Sobrevolando Peru” which

is being held at the Qorikancha Museum.

We would like to thank Mabel Allain of Cultural Management

at Santo Domingo Qorikancha for enabling us to participate

in this way.

Punctuality

For those families who send their children in the

“movilidades”, please have your child read for pick up at the

time indicated so that the “movilidad” can arrive to school

on time.

Names on Clothing

We would ask parents to please label the clothing that the

children bring to the Nursery, particularly hats and jackets.

We have situations in which two children have for instance

the same sweater or jacket and this can cause confusion for

the teachers

Use of Hats and Sunblock

It is mandatory for students to use hats and sunblock when

they are exposed to the sun. Thank you for following this rule

and talking with your children about respecting it.

Sickness

We have had several children here at the nursery who have

been sick these past weeks. It is very normal for young chil-

dren to become sick more frequently when they begin a

new child care program. We would just request that you

monitor your children and not send them when they have

fever or diarrhea or when it is clear that they are feeling un-

well. Thank you for your understanding.
