COMPUTER SOFTWARE APPLICATION SPECIALIST ADVANCED SKILL SET CERTIFICATE (ASSC) [PROGRAM HOURS: 24]

The Computer Software Application Specialist certificate program provides occupational specific training. The certificate prepares students for entry-level jobs using word processing, database, spreadsheet and desktop publishing software. State and federal financial aid are not available for advanced skill set certificates.

COMPUTER SUPPORT SPECIALIST ADVANCED SKILL SET CERTIFICATE (ASSC) [PROGRAM HOURS: 15]

The Computer Support Specialist certificate offers instruction on computer hardware, Microsoft computer applications, operating systems, networking and basic computer science knowledge. This program requires Comp TIA A +exam (test 220-801) as part of COSC 130. State and federal financial aid are not available for advanced skill set certificates.

The IT Foundations Certificate of Applied Science prepares students for entry level careers in the computer industry. Industry recognized certification exams for the CompTIA A+ exam are embedded in this program.

COMPUTER SCIENCE: HEALTHCARE IT TECHNICIAN ASSOCIATE OF APPLIED SCIENCE (AAS) [PROGRAM HOURS: 61]

Students studying in this field will develop knowledge and skills required to implement, deploy and support IT systems in the healthcare field. Classes will cover regulatory requirements, healthcare terminology/acronyms, and provide a basic understanding of practice workflow adhering to code of conduct policies and security best practices, in order to support Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems in medical facilities.
