INFORMATION NEEDED IN DESIGN APPLICATION OF UNFIRED

PRESSURE VESSEL (USED VESSEL)

1. Discussion between Head of Design Section and applicant must be made withreference the history of the unfired pressure vessel including custom

declaration form, maintenance records and tests done by the previous owner.

2. Must submit original drawing and other related document.

3. 3 sets of design drawing must be as large as practicable preferable !1" with

1#2$ border line and properly scale. %he drawings must be furnished with the

following&

i. main dimensions

ii. welding details

iii. service of no''les ( orientation of no''lesiv. details of material specifications

v. design pressure, design temperature, wor)ing pressure, wor)ing

temperature, test pressure, design code, wor)ing media, volume,

corrosion allowance, welding factor, flange rating and etc.

vi. detail drawings of any components and welding including reference

or configuration must be noted on the drawing

vii. other useful information if any"

*. +ocation of main safety features such as pressure gauge and safety valve.

iping and -nstrumentation Diagram must be submitted if the safety features

are not installed on the vessel.

. /onfirmation of the re0uired thic)ness by design calculation in accordance

with one of the latest version of the recogni'ed codes.

. -nternal and eternal visual inspection of unfired pressure vessel and on

destructive test on the weldment areas of unfired pressure vessel.

4. %hic)ness measurement.

5. Hardness test on materials.

6. -tems " to 5" must be witnessed and reported by the D7SH -nspector and#or

the -nspecting !uthorities.

18. Hydrostatic test must be witnessed by the D7SH -nspector.
