However, there are additional, practical-focused projects, including some portfolio development

this specifically includes:

Evidence of 100 hours of group facilitation

Evidence of conducting 50 assessments on a minimum of 20 different candidates

Evidence of participation in peer reviews based on a minimum of 10 hours of group facilitation and 10 assessments of competency

However, for experienced practitioners, this evidence could be supported by previous experience.

For correspondence and online students, they will work through the courseware of each unit and complete the assessment work at the end.

this assessment is comprised of a combination of workbook-based questions and portfolio tasks.

For students looking to complete their qualification via a recognition pathway, a simple-to-use RPL kit is available for candidates to guide them in their collection of relevant evidence to support their claim of competency.

What is TAE50111?The Diploma of Vocational Education and

Training (TAE50111) provides a pathway

within the VET industry to build training

and assessment capability within

Registered Training Organisations (RTOs)

and other providers of training. It provides

a professional development framework to

build and extend the skills and knowledge

of those with experience in training

and assessment and the entry level

qualification, TAE40110 Certificate IV in

Training and Assessment.

Working in VET has changed dramatically

over the past decade, with the role of a

VET practitioner being the subject of much

debate, research and published material.

There is no argument that the roles and

functions of RTOs have multiplied. VET

practitioners are now key workers in

the knowledge economy and must be

competent in facilitating the creation,

transmission and acquisition of knowledge.

Therefore, the Diploma of Vocational

Education and Training represents an

expression of achievement that reflects

excellence in performance in line with

the high standards desired in the VET

workforce. It is intended that this

qualification becomes the qualification

of choice for those wishing to develop

their VET career.

I would also like to take this opportunity to thank MRWED for the professionalism in running the course. I don’t know if you keep stats of participants who get work as a result

of completing the course but I am pleased to say I am one of them. I am looking forward to a career change and owe this course for making this possible.

HoW do I GEt tHE MRWEd douBLE dIPLoMA?If the right electives are selected, it is possible for a candidate to obtain both the diploma of Vocational Education and training qualification (tAE50111) as well as the diploma of training design and development (tAE50211). there is an additional charge to obtain the second qualification. Alternatively, candidates can choose to enrol in the additional electives at a unit by unit price to complete their second diploma.

In addition to the Core units for tAE50111, the following elective units would need to be completed for candidates to be eligible to receive the diploma of training design and development:

tAEdEs502A design and develop learning resources

tAEdEs505A Evaluate a training program

tAEtAs501B undertake organisational training needs analysis

And one (1) of the following:

tAEREs501A Apply research to training and assessment practice

tAEAss504A develop and implement recognition strategies

tAEdEs503B design and develop e-learning resources

In our face-to-face programs, candidates can achieve the second diploma in as little as 2 additional days (depending on electives selected).
