Directions to Smugglers’ Cove

If you are travelling on foot:

First, join the Winding Ocean Road at Junction 1.

Walk carefully on the silver sand because it will be hot!

Next, take the Pebble Path and follow the sound of the sea.

Proceed under the Purple Palm before an immediate turn left.

Soon, you will see a bejewelled arch.

When you pass through the arch, turn immediately right.

Travel swiftly along the gang-plank and do NOT stop. If you pause, this may lead to a watery disaster.

Climb up the ladder to the Top Deck, where the Captain will greet you.

Directions from the Castle Dungeons Start out in the dark, dingy, cold dungeon. It’s not very nice in there.

Then, walk past the gloriously gallant guard to the end of the corridor.

Then, open the door and walk up the steps.

Then, reach the door. Say the password. The door will open.

Then you will arrive in the courtyard. It is much nicer there.

Letter of Complaint from Lady Isabella Large-Smythe

Large-Smythe Manor Great Lane

Kingdom of Cloudland KC2 7XXL

Date as postmark

Dear Anastasia and Archibald, I would like to begin by congratulating you on the magnificent party you arranged. The food was superb, the entertainment was exciting and everyone had a wonderful time. However, there was just one problem – Goldilocks! Unfortunately, my family found her behaviour completely unacceptable. First, she stole food off my daughter Imelda’s plate; then she broke one of the chairs for the musical thrones game, which meant that my son Igor could not join in; and finally, she went into our guest bedroom and tried on my clothes, sprayed my expensive perfume and ruined my new scarlet lipstick. She even climbed into one of the freshly-made beds and fell asleep! Although I realize that this was not your fault, I feel that you should be told about the situation and that Goldilocks should be punished as a result of her actions. Yours sincerely,

Lady Isabella Large-Smythe

Sentences to Up-level

My son loves playing musical thrones. He couldn’t play because Goldilocks broke his chair. He got very bored.

The guest bedroom was very messy. I had to spend three hours tidying it up. I didn’t get much sleep.

The balloons looked lovely. Goldilocks decided to pop six of them with a pin. My son got a terrible fright.

I have lots of money to spend on perfume. I did not like to see Goldilocks waste all of it. Now I will have to buy some more to replace it.

I’m sure you did not expect Goldilocks to cause such trouble. She was out of control. I think we need to put a stop to her mischief before it’s too late.

The castle courtyard looked wonderful when we arrived. Goldilocks trampled across the flowerbeds. It looked a complete mess afterwards.

Letter of Apology to Mrs Hewitt

Blue Brick Farm Marford

Buntingshire BN12 1KD

Date as postmark

Dear Mrs Hewitt, Thank you for your letter. It was lovely to hear from you. Firstly, I am so glad that you enjoyed your evening with us. It was wonderful to celebrate our wedding anniversary surrounded by so many of our treasured friends. However, I was truly sorry to hear about the extremely unfortunate incident outlined in your letter. I had no idea that Mrs Baldwin had brought along Olive the Octopus and then actually waltzed with her on the dance floor. I agree that it was completely unacceptable behaviour. As a result, I have spoken with Mrs Baldwin about it. Although Olive is a highly sociable creature and likes to dance, Mrs Baldwin has assured me that she will be kept well away from parties in future. To show you how sorry I am, please allow me to pay for your gown to be dry-cleaned. I hope this will help to make amends and trust that our friendship will not suffer as a result of this disastrous incident. Yours sincerely,

Mrs Silverton

Letter of Apology from Archibald for Up-levelling

Hi Isabella, Thanks for your letter. Soz about Goldilocks. I couldn’t believe that Imelda went hungry because of her stealing all the food! I’ve spoken to my mum and she’s gonna warn Goldilocks that she won’t be invited to anything ever again if her behaviour doesn’t improve. I agree that her behaviour was soooooo bad. To say sorry for Goldilocks’ behaviour, I’ll buy you a new lippie. Hope this will make you feel better and that you’ll still be friends with Mum and Dad. It was cool to see you at the party. J Cheers,

Archie
