Feeling thy presence

Feeling the vastness of the infinite.. a presence that cannot be defined or confined by time and space

Feeling: The lower cannot comprehend the higher. The lower can only surrender to the higher. Not able to understand God isn't ignorance. Attempting to understand God is ignorance. There is a difference between knowing God and knowing about God. Knowing God is an absolute experience. Knowing about God is purely intellectual. God isn't something to be understood. God is to be felt. God is a matter of the heart. Feelings are the doors to divine experiences. Gratitude, love, devotion, surrender and faith are all in the feeling domain. Rajaji aptly explained, “When intelligence matures and lodges securely in the mind, it becomes wisdom. When wisdom is integrated with life and issues out in action, it becomes bhakti. Knowledge, when it becomes fully mature is bhakti. If it does not get transformed into bhakti, such knowledge is useless tinsel.” So, the infiniprayer opens with the master key to spiritual connect - Feeling…

Thy: If you define, you confine. God can neither be defined nor confined. Though the word 'mother' represents motherhood, my mother alone is my mother. Similarly, while the word 'God' represents that Universal Cosmic Presence, yet my god is my god. My God is absolutely personal to me. So is your God, absolutely personal to you. My Jesus Christ is different from your Jesus Christ. Her Krishna is different from His Krishna. Together we can recite the God's name, and yet, what it means to each one of us will remain absolutely personal. So, Feeling Thy… My Thy is different from your Thy… My Thy is my God. Your Thy is your God.

Presence: By agreeing that God is omnipresent, which means present everywhere, we agree God cannot be bottled into time and space. Then God cannot be a person. A person is within the limitations of time, space, bone and flesh. God can only be a presence. Then, God cannot be perceived through the senses, like how we perceive material. However, God, as a presence, can always be felt everywhere, in everything, every time. Nobody explained 'Feeling Thy Presence' better than Bharathiyar, when he described, “All my senses are thy manifestations. Crow's feather thy black; the trees thy green; the sounds thy rhyme; the burning flame yields me the pleasure of touching Thee. In anything and everything I perceive, I Feel Thy Presence.” Whether it is the Siddhas of Jains or the Abba of Jesus Christ or the Allah of Prophet or the Satnam of Guru Nanak… God is a lingering presence and not a material object confined to some space.

Much after you leave the material called rose, you will still feel the formless presence of the fragrance of rose, in you and around you. Similarly, much after you leave the altar of your worship, continue to feel the formless presence of the fragrance of your God, in you, around you, with you and within you.

The disciple asked, “Where is God?” The Master replied, “Where is he not?” When asked, “When are you with Him?” an infinitheist replied, “When am I not with Him!”

So the first line in the infiniprayer - Feeling thy presence.

Feeling thy grace

Feeling the protective womb of existence shielding and taking care of me at every moment

Life is governed by an Existential Order. Empirical realities and governing laws constitute the Existential Order. Some examples of empirical realities:

There is no rewind option in life. This moment that has just passed by is over and done with; even if you are an enlightened soul, you cannot rewind it.

As you sow, so you reap. The seed of an apple shall not reap a pineapple. Man, but in stories, cannot deliver a gorilla.

Water will boil at 100oC, whoever you are and wherever you are. If you are not aligned to gravity, you will fall, even if you have been the saviour of humanity. The eyes can see but cannot hear; the ears can hear but cannot feel; the skin can feel but cannot

smell; the nose can smell but cannot taste; the tongue can taste but cannot see. Some examples of governing laws:

Life is governed by cause and effect. Anything that begins will end, sooner or later. Even messengers and messiahs of God shall not

be exempted from it. Whatever you are desperate for, may not be denied, but will be delayed. Gratitude and disturbance cannot coexist. Acceptance results in positive emotions and resistance causes negative emotions.

People often ask: “If God is the architect of this Existential Order, then, can He change it as a response to our prayers?” He cannot because He is Himself embedded into the design. Truth isn't truth, if it can be altered, even if it is God. And, Existential Order is the ultimate Truth. The power of prayer, the power of faith, the power of surrender and devotion can change anything within the design but not the design itself. That is why God is God. In His kingdom, there are no divine preferences or divine irregularities - there is no divine injustice.

God does not work for you but He works with you. And, His design is such, the only way He can work with you is when you live aligned to the Existential Order. The more and more you are aligned to the Existential Order, the greater and greater you experience His Grace. Grace is a simple spiritual reward for aligning yourself to the Existential Order. Suffering is a simple spiritual feedback that you have somewhere lost your alignment to the Existential Order.

Even if you are a Maths teacher's son, if two plus two is written as three, you are still wrong. Even if you know nothing about the examiner, if two plus two is written as four, you are certainly right. Even those who do not know who God is, and those who do not believe in the existence of God will still be crowned by His grace as long as they live in alignment to the Existential Order. God is not just a matter of belief, but is a matter of alignment. Greater the alignment, greater is the experience of His grace.

In spite of your unflinching faith in a Cosmic Presence, you aren't a Messiah to have a comprehensive understanding of the Existential Order and to be completely aligned to it. Yet, so much is going right for you in life. Yet, your life seems such a blessing. Yet, more than 90% of your life is as you wanted it to be. If so much about your life is right, isn't it obvious that there is a Hand above you that is carrying you through! Isn't it evident that His grace is prevailing over you in every moment of your existence! Isn't it obvious that His grace is protecting you like a spiritual fence with every breath and in every heartbeat! It is His grace my dear, that your life is flowing… truly flowing.

So an infinitheist expresses his gratitude, “Feeling thy grace…”

Feeling thy radiance

Feeling the radiant light glow within, liberating me from the darkness of ignorance through the radiance of knowledge

As human beings, we have come a long way from the cavemen we were to what we are today. While all other creations have shown only marginal evolution through these centuries of living, human progress has been dramatic. Who made this possible? The teachers! You may say - the thinkers! But then, who have been the link between those thinkers, and you and me? Again, the teachers! Who have been the connecting thread to the wisdom of every age? The teachers! Who have been the cultural bridge from one generation to another? The teachers! Who have been responsible for the flow of language and communication across culture and civilisation? The teachers! How did the prophecies of enlightened masters, the logic of the mathematicians, the discoveries and inventions of the scientists, the thoughts and ideas of the philosophers, the history of the history makers, etc., reach the common man? Only through teachers!

Teachers are not just those who teach in schools and colleges but anyone who has played a part in altering the state of your mind and heart, and thus your life. It could be your parents from whom you inherited the basics of life. Parents help you to move from nothing to something. Their contribution in your life is equivalent to transforming zero into one, which is infinite transformation. It could be your friends from whom you imbibed your attitudes and character; it could be your professional mentors who shaped your competence; it could be your trainers who developed your skill sets; it could be your school and college teachers who groomed your knowledge; it could be your Guru through whom you had your spiritual initiation; why, it could even be a child who has impacted you in ways no other has. Anyone, who removes the darkness and delusion from your heart and mind by illuminating you with the radiance of higher wisdom is a teacher. A teacher is a Cosmic radiance in human form.

And, a teacher is a Cosmic gift in your life. A teacher is a Cosmic representation in your life. A teacher is His representation, present in your life at that point of time, by His will and His grace. Feeling thy radiance in the infiniprayer is your way of expressing your gratitude to that Cosmic source, for touching your life through a chosen instrument called teacher.

Ingratitude to the source of knowledge makes that knowledge useless. You may know it, you may understand it, you might have even mastered it, but that knowledge will not help you when you need it the most, if you are not grateful to that source of knowledge. Remember, what the source of knowledge means to you makes no difference to the source of knowledge; but, it makes all the difference to you. The heart of a seeker towards his teacher is more important than the heart of a teacher towards his seeker. The blessing of your teacher unto you is more dependent on how you see your teacher, rather than how your teacher sees you.

Hence, we sing Feeling thy radiance in the infiniprayer, to express our gratitude to that radiant presence in our life, for bringing a teacher into our life at that point of time and thus liberating us from the darkness of ignorance through the radiance of knowledge.

So the third line in the infiniprayer - Feeling thy radiance.

Page 5: Infini_Prayer.docx

You are my source of faith and strength

You are my anchor. My faith in you gives me all the strength I need to face any situation

If great souls like Jesus Christ, Prophet Mohammed, Buddha, Mahavira, Mahatma Gandhi, Martin Luther King, Mother Teresa, Swami Vivekananda, APJ Abdul Kalam, Albert Einstein, Rabindranath Tagore… had faith in faith, then there must be some substance in faith. After all, it is an illustrious list of greatest of thinkers.

The United States of America, arguably one of the most scientifically advanced nations, has this inscription on its coins: 'In God we Trust'. Faith is not anti-science; it is just beyond the comprehension of science.

Faith is like electricity - you can't see it, but you can see light. Faith may be beyond our comprehension, but the results of faith are there for all of us to see. Faith is not subject to verification. And if you want to verify, then it is not faith. Faith is beyond human judgement. Faith is the ability to trust what you are not able to see. If faith is in believing what you cannot see, then the reward of faith will be that you will one day see what you always believed in.

'Faith' is even above God. After all, only for those who have faith, there is a God. Faith is above everything. In reality, it is not your God, who is making your faith work. In fact, it is your faith that is making your God work. His God is weak because his faith is weak. Her God is powerful because her faith is powerful. In fact, the power of the object of your faith is derived from the power of your faith in the object.

Faith is the basis of your relationship with the force above… the force beyond… the force within. It doesn't matter by what name you refer to your object of faith! What's important is that you do have an object of faith to direct your faith.

Though it is not the 'object of faith', but it is 'faith' that creates miracles, you still need an object of faith to direct your faith. It was 'Abba' to Jesus; it was 'Jesus' to Mother Teresa; it was 'Krishna' to Draupadi; it was 'Allah' to Prophet; it was 'Ram' to Hanuman, and it is 'Hanuman' to many of his devotees. Yet, all of them have experienced the miraculous power of faith in their lives.

Faith transforms an ordinary vibration of thought created by the finite mind of man into a spiritual equivalent. Faith is the only gate through which the cosmic force of Infinite Intelligence can be harnessed and used by man. Like ideas which are more powerful than the mind that gave birth to them - for ideas have the power to live on much after the mind that created them has turned to dust - faith too is more potent than the 'object' on which the faith is directed.

With faith in faith, infinitheists too open the doors of miracles in their life by praying, “You are my source of faith and strength…” to their Source.

So the fourth line in the infiniprayer - You are my source of faith and strength

Page 6: Infini_Prayer.docx

You are my path and destination

You are not just my ultimate goal but also part of me in every step I take in life

Life is governed by Cause and Effect. And, in turn, there are three empirical laws that govern cause and effect. The three empirical laws of cause and effect are:

1. If there is an effect, then there must be a cause.2. Effect is nothing but cause itself in a different form… a different manifestation.3. If you remove the cause from the effect, then nothing remains.

1. If there is an effect, then there must be a cause. If there is a gold necklace, then there must be a goldmine somewhere. If there are sunrays, then there must be a sun. If there is a mud pot, then there must be mud. If there is an effect, then there must be a cause. So, there cannot be an effect without a Cause. Then, if there are creations, then there must be a Creator.

2. Effect is nothing but cause itself in a different form… a different manifestation.Isn't the necklace, gold in another form? Aren't the sunrays a mere manifestation of the sun? Isn't the mud pot just another form of the mud? Isn't the effect just another manifestation of the cause? So, creation is the Creator in a mortal form. Some religions claim, see all forms in that one God. Other religions proclaim, see that one God in all forms. All in one and one in all are two sides of the same coin. So, the Cause and the effect are one and the same… just different forms and different manifestations.

3. If you remove the cause from the effect, then nothing remains.Where is the necklace without the gold? How can the sunrays be without the sun? There is no existence to the mud pot without the mud. If you remove the cause from the effect, then nothing remains? Where is the question of an effect without the cause? Where is the question of a creation without the Creator?

Conclusively, the Cause cannot be separated from the effect. The seeker cannot be separated from the Sought. The source of energy is the energy. The messenger is the message. The physical manifestation of the intention is the action and the psychological source of action is the intention. Things are manifested thoughts and thoughts are unmanifested things. The way to the picnic is not separate from the picnic. The pilgrimage begins with the very devotion of the pilgrim, way before he reaches the place of worship. The process is not separate from the results. One is the cause and the other is the effect… just a different manifestation. Ours is a universe… one united, all encompassing verse, and not a segmented multi verse.

The path is not different from the destination. The path is a series of steps and one of those next steps will result in the destination. So, infinitheists pray, “You are my path and destination” to their Source, expressing, “I will carry you in every step in the journey of my life, and my beloved Source, please carry me through life.” An infinitheist is not a part-time devotee or a partial seeker. An infinitheist feels Thy Presence, Thy Grace and Thy radiance in every step of his path… and in every step to his destination. In essence, an infinitheist is never separate from his Source.

So the fifth line in the infiniprayer - You are my path and destination.

Page 7: Infini_Prayer.docx

And I am always connected to you

Like breathing and heartbeats you are an integral aspect of me

In Chapter 12 of the Bhagavad Gita, Krishna explains, “Those who, fixing their mind on Me, worship Me, ever steadfast and endowed with supreme faith, in my opinion, are the best Yogis. So, fix your mind in Me exclusively, apply your intellect in Me. You shall no doubt live in Me alone hereafter. If you are unable to fix your thought steadily on Me, then by yoga of constant practice seek to reach me. If you are not able to do that too, then by performing every action for My sake you shall attain perfection. If you are unable to do even this, then taking refuge in Me, do renounce the fruits of all actions and be self controlled.”

We all act depending on our own individual capacities. We can only evolve through the phases of relative ignorance to relative maturity. So Krishna suggested: “In whatever capacity you are able to act, let there be one common denominator: Always stay connected to me…”

The mythological portrayal of Hanuman tearing his chest open to show Rama that 'you always reside in my heart' is to depict that Hanuman was always connected to his Lord…

You are expected to pray five times a day not because Allah needs it, but because you need such a discipline to keep yourself connected to that all-pervading force always…

In Latin, 'omnis' means 'all'. Omni is a Latin prefix meaning 'all' or 'every' and it is used in formation of compound words.

For example, omnivore refers to animals that eat all kinds of foods.

In reference to the Cosmic Presence, the common 'omni' references have been:

Omniscient meaning all knowing; infinite knowledge.

Omnipotent meaning all powerful; unlimited power.

Omnipresence meaning present all over; everywhere.

So, the Cosmic Presence is there always… However, unless you are always connected to that Cosmic Presence, you will deprive yourself of Feeling that Presence always... Oxygen is always there but you need to inhale. Gravity is in action always but you need to be aligned. God is always… But, are you a devotee always! If you are a part-time devotee, then you will only experience a part-time God. It is in being a full-time devotee, you experience a full-time God. Hanuman, by being always connected to his Lord, transformed from a monkey to personification of divinity. That's why, "And I am always connected to you…"

Simply put, to experience the omniscient, omnipotent, omnipresence… you've got to be omniconnected… always connected.

So the infinitheists pray, “And I am always connected to you” to their Source. Someone asked, “Where is God?” An infinitheist asked in return, “Where is He not?” Someone asked again, “When are you with God?” An infinitheist asked in return, “When am I not?” In essence, an infinitheist is never separate from his Source… never away from the Source… now, ever and always connected.

So the sixth line in the infiniprayer - And I am always connected to you.

Page 8: Infini_Prayer.docx

Nothing of me, and everything of you

I surrender to you my lord... I am empty.. fill me up with You

Ego is 'Everything of me and Nothing of you'.

Surrender is 'Nothing of me and Everything of you'.

In the days of monarchy, at the end of a battle, the defeated king will place his crown at the feet of the victorious king symbolising surrender. Here surrender doesn't mean defeat. Here surrender means, “Transference of responsibility.” Here surrender implies, “Till now I was responsible for the welfare of my subjects. Now that my kingdom has become your kingdom, I surrender the welfare of my people in your hands. Take care of them.” By placing the crown at the feet of the victorious king, the defeated king transfers the responsibility of the welfare of his people to the victorious king.

Similarly, in the context of spirituality, by surrender you are just making God a major partner in your endeavours. By surrendering your finite intelligence to that infinite intelligence, you are allowing that infinite intelligence to express itself through you. The river merges with the sea and becomes the sea. The drop of rain falls into the river and becomes the river. The lower identity is lost in order to gain the higher identity. So too in surrender, you are giving up the lower self in order to gain the higher self. In surrender, you become as powerful as that to which you have surrendered.

In the great epic of Mahabharata, the vicious Kauravas, in one of their numerous ways in conniving to humiliate the Pandavas, sought to outrage the modesty of Draupati. It was Dushasana who resorted to carry out the humiliation. The Pandavas were unable to intervene in their wife's cause as they had lost her out to the Kauravas in the game of dice. Initially, Draupati attempted to save herself by herself: 'Everything of me, and nothing of you'. After her vain attempts, the helpless Draupati turned to Krishna, the Almighty, for his support. She wailed loudly crying out to Krishna holding on to her sari. But there was no sign of Krishna's Grace. The desperate Draupati, then let go of her sari and threw her arms up in the air invoking Krishna's mercy at that crucial juncture. At once Krishna's Grace showered on her with an endless stream of sari that kept increasing to tire Dushasana who gave up the heartless mission. Thus, it was Draupati's surrender to the Lord that saved her: 'Nothing of me, and everything of you'. This incident highlights the significance of total surrender without reservation, submitting oneself to the Lord without the intervention of individual choices. Surrender is an expression of total trust.

The Christians says, “It is not MY will but THY will that will be done.” An Islamic follower would say, “Inshallah” - if God wills it.

If you want your life to be music, then make yourself as His instrument. And, always remember, the music is never from the flute but it is through the flute. It is Him through you…

So the infinitheists pray, “Nothing of me, and everything of you” to their Source. This expression of infinitheists essentially means, “I surrender myself unto you my Lord. I am transferring the responsibility of my life in Thee hands. Lead me through…”

So the seventh line in the infiniprayer - Nothing of me, and everything of you.

Page 9: Infini_Prayer.docx

Lead me Higher…

in maturity

You are given life, to add something to life. When you live your life with heightened awareness, you help humanity to gain a few years of maturity without having to live those years. In effect, you fast forward humanity by a few years. You are an evolving consciousness. You are continuously evolving. In each new moment, you are different from what you were the previous moment. Your earlier self is continuously getting outdated. In every moment, life is presenting a new version of you. And, through the evolution of every man, collectively, humanity evolves.

In terms of maturity, metaphorically speaking, you have to keep climbing higher and higher from the lower branches of maturity. With every higher branch you climb, you have a broader view of life. What made you weep a year ago, if it still makes you weep then you are not learning from your experiences. Then, you are not growing. You are not scaling to the higher branches of maturity. You are stagnating on the same branch. If what disturbed you a year ago still disturbs you, then you have just aged by another year. If you did grow higher in maturity, then you will have a more objective view of those experiences that disturbed you in the past.

It has taken thousands of years to evolve the modern way of looking at life. History is not just about dates. History shows the evolution of thought... the evolution of human thinking. Both as an individual and humanity as a whole, we are an evolving species… an evolving consciousness.

Many of your predecessors played their part in the evolution of human consciousness, and you are enjoying the benefit of it. What part are you going to play in this journey of the evolution of human consciousness? The rise and fall of every human being has its effect on the overall human consciousness. Every human being has this awesome responsibility of growing up to live life from a higher pedestal… from a higher branch of consciousness and this will be your contribution to the ever evolving human consciousness. Every lesson learnt, every mistake committed, every error corrected, every discovery, every invention, every insight, every idea, every revelation, every talent unfolded, every limit redefined, every thought released, every vibration experienced… by every individual, paints yet another stroke in the evolution of human consciousness. So to play your part too, you pray, “Lead me higher (in maturity)…”

So the infinitheists pray, “Lead me Higher” to their Source. This expression of infinitheists essentially means, “Help me to grow in maturity, so that in intellectually lifting myself I can, in turn, lift the world.”

So the eighth line in the infiniprayer-Lead me Higher…

Page 10: Infini_Prayer.docx

Lead me Deeper...

in spiritual alignment

The strength of the tree depends on the depth of the roots. Similarly, to evolve Higher in maturity, you need to grow Deeper in faith. Above all other factors, spiritual growth is growing deeper and deeper in faith. All the components of spiritual development gain meaning and significance only on the pedestal of faith. Faith is the ability to trust what you are not able to see, the ability to believe what is not yet, the ability to 'accept as true' that, which cannot be proven. Faith is in knowing that the Force that brought you to it will also carry you through it. Faith is not subject to verification. And if you want to verify, then it is not faith. Faith is beyond human judgement. Yet, faith works; faith alone works.

If great souls like Jesus Christ, Prophet Mohammed, Buddha, Mahavira, Mahatma Gandhi, Martin Luther King, Mother Teresa, Swami Vivekananda, APJ Abdul Kalam, Albert Einstein, Rabindranath Tagore, etc., had faith in faith, then there must be some substance in faith. After all, it is an illustrious list of the greatest of thinkers.

The United States of America, arguably one of the most scientifically advanced nations, has this inscription on its coins: 'In God we Trust'. Faith is not anti-science; it is just beyond the comprehension of science. Perhaps a day will come when science may be able to explain faith. Faith is like electricity - you can't see it, but you can see light. Faith may be beyond our comprehension, but the results of faith are there for all of us to see.

It is not the 'object of faith', but 'faith' that creates miracles. The object of faith is just incidental. It was 'Abba' to Jesus; it was 'Jesus' to Mother Teresa; it was 'Krishna' to Draupadi; it was 'Allah' to Prophet; it was 'Drona' to Ekalavya; it was 'Ram' to Hanuman, and it is 'Hanuman' to many of his devotees. Yet, all of them have experienced the miraculous power of faith in their lives, which confirms that it is not the 'object of faith' but 'faith' that creates miracles. The power of the object of your faith is derived from the power of your faith in the object. So, the question isn't, “How powerful your 'god' is?” The question is, “How powerful your 'faith' is?” Grow deeper and deeper in faith, and you will reach higher and higher in life.

Pray, “Lead me deeper (in faith)…”

So the infinitheists pray, “Lead me Deeper...” to their Source. This expression of infinitheists essentially means, “I surrender myself unto you my Lord. I am transferring the responsibility of my life in Thee hands. Lead me through…”

So the ninth line in the infiniprayer - Lead me Deeper...

Page 11: Infini_Prayer.docx

Lead me beyond…

my perceived limitations

Even God cannot give you beyond your beliefs. Rain can only fill the size of the vessel. Life can reward you only to the extent of your beliefs. Unless your beliefs expand, your life cannot expand. There are no limits except those you acknowledge. Expand your beliefs. Break your comfort zones. Dare to dream beyond what you thought was possible. Life itself isn't secure. Then, where is the question of security within life? In searching for security, don't get transfixed to your comfort zones. Your comfort zones become your prison, a prison within which your potential stays locked up. There is no inferiority about the man that Existence made. The only inferiority is what you have put yourself into by staying transfixed to your comfort levels. Look Beyond… Seek Beyond… Desire Beyond… Go Beyond… The horizons are awaiting you… So the tenth line in the infiniprayer, “Lead me beyond…”

It is astonishing as to how the world makes way for a resolute soul and how obstacles get out of the path of a determined man who believes in himself. Transcendence is like taking the lantern in the hand knowing that you will always have light enough for your next step, no matter how dark, for the light will move along with you. One step is enough and then another step and then another... Go beyond yourself and discover the bounties of abundance life holds. So the tenth line in the infiniprayer, “Lead me beyond…” The next rung of the ladder is always an unknown factor. Throw yourself into the unknown. Do what you have never done before. Do what you never thought you can. Make a rebellious move. Take a daring plunge. Make the transcendental leap. Transcendence is sacred, for it is in transcendence that life reveals the higher glories of man. The journey may not be easy, but the destination will be worth it. You can go through anything in life, if you can become, what you can become. So the tenth line in the infiniprayer, “Lead me beyond…”

Pray, “Lead me beyond (my comfort zones)…”

Till a Roger Bannister happened, a four-minute-mile was still an unknown possibility. Till an Edmund Hillary happened, standing on the top of Mount Everest was still an unknown possibility. Till a Steve Jobs happened, from a garage to a world leader in technology was still an unknown possibility. His entrepreneurship and enterprise have changed man's way of life and the world has not been the same again - Bill Gates.

History is full of many such one-man armies, where one human being, in one lifetime, by the way they lived their life they changed something about the world forever. History suggests that one man is enough to be a turning point in this world. At every point in history, a man has emerged to show the rest of us that one life at that point in history will have a greater impact on the world than the billions who survive during that period.

So the infinitheists pray, “Lead me beyond…” to their Source.

Page 12: Infini_Prayer.docx

Lead me to you.

However passionate I may be about my materialistic pursuits, I am not complete without you. So, I need you

The drop of protoplasm, that's formed when the sperm enters the egg, grows into a foetus in the womb of the mother, only when it comes in contact with that formless source of life. In the womb of the mother, the form was with the formless in a state of unison. Through the process of birth, in coming in contact with the world outside, the inputs through the senses happened and thus the mind came into existence. With the 'mind' coming into existence, the state of unison between the form and the formless was lost, causing the pain of separation, which resulted in the emotional personality coming into existence. To help the emotional personality to avoid the pain, the intellect also came into existence. Which means, before the first stimulus, there was unison between the form and the formless; man was with God. And with the first sensual experience, the three intermediate personalities came into existence, namely, mind, intellect and emotional, and the unison was lost.

Man's first desire and the only desire, is to re-experience that state of unison between the form and the formless. However, since in coming in contact with the world outside the unison was lost, human intelligence has been erroneously searching for answers in the outside. Hence, all the intellectually projected desires in the materialistic realm. All the other creations have only instinctive needs, and that's why they don't have futuristic desires. Man alone has intellectually projected desires and hence his desires are futuristic. As a result, at any given time, the number of unfulfilled desires in man is greater than the number of fulfilled desires, causing all the agitation in him. While there can be spiritual answers to your materialistic needs, there are no materialistic answers to your spiritual needs. No amount of fulfilment of extroverted desires, no extent of achieving your materialistic ambitions is ever going to satiate your spiritual hunger for unison. So, when spiritual masters always said, “Transcend desire to transcend suffering,” they were not referring to your intellectually projected materialistic desires but speaking about your spiritual desire for unison. And, the only way to transcend the spiritual desire for unison is by experiencing the state of unison. And, the only way to experience unison is by experiencing the state in which you drop and transcend your three intermediate personalities of mind, intellect and emotions.

The very purpose of religion is to help you to drop and transcend the three intermediate personalities of mind, intellect and emotions, and thus experience unison between the form and the formless. So, religion is basically a means to spirituality. It is all about converging from 'Many to one' and then from 'One to none', the state of unison. The word 'religion' has its Latin roots: Re Ligare, that is, Re (again) Ligare (to reconnect).

It is by transcending your identification with your mind, intellect and emotions, you will annihilate your ego, and thus transcend the perceived duality, and for the first time you experientially experience that God and you are always one, the state of Unison.

So the infinitheists pray, “Lead me to you” meaning, “I will not be merely satisfied with your kingdom alone, my Lord. I need you. I am not merely seeking yours, but I am also seeking you. For a child, however dear the toys may be, the toys still don't substitute a mother. Similarly, my Lord, however passionate I may be about my materialistic pursuits, I am not complete without you. So, I need you. So, my Lord, live in my heart and please my Lord, lead me into your heart…”

So the eleventh line in the infiniprayer, to complete the prayer - Lead me to you.
