Thrilling Ideas

With fresh concepts and innovative ideas we have been

trendsetters in our branch for decades. The best examples are

our first computer-based water sports information desk, the

Mediterranean Centre, the anchorage marketplace and the

Caribbean-Trophy. The Charter Forum and brand-new events

like CASH FOR TRICKS or the INTERBOOT Media Cup show, that we

continue creating the watersports future.

The INTERBOOT is more than just an exhibition to look at,

which is a big advantage for our exhibitors. We want to arouse

people’s enthusiasm for water sports. Our varied entertainment

programme, organized with the help of the INTERBOOT SPORTS

GROUP, amongst others, comprises every year about 500 events

to join in and cheer on. They make the fair visit a fascinating

event for experienced water sports athletes, as well as for young

or new groups of potential buyers. For the rest of the year we

stay active: With the INTERBOOT on-site we attend events in the

target countries and with the INTERBOOT-CARD we have created a

community which offers water sports enthusiasts benefits and

experience value all year long.

Our INTERBOOT Journal, the

exhibitors’ catalogue, not only

provides you with indices of

exhibitors and halls, as well

as useful information all

around the INTERBOOT, but it

also offers interesting arti-

cles about the manifold ac-

tivities and latest trends on

the fair.

Best Market Location

At the INTERBOOT on the Lake of Constance you are amidst one of

the most famous European water sports estuaries and in the centre

of markets with a high purchasing power. With Liechtenstein, Swit-

zerland, Austria and Southern Germany, the direct trading area of

the fair includes regions whose 14.3 million inhabitants have an

outstanding disposable income. So, prepare for visitors who are rea-

dy to buy!

From Switzerland alone, the INTERBOOT expects more than

20,000 water sports enthusiasts per year. The fact that one third

of the Swiss population lives in the greater area of Zurich, which

is only 93 km away, and the fact that Swiss Federal Railways, the

ferry services and the catamaran shipping company offer special ar-

rangements, so that visitors can reach us without any problems by

combining either train/ferry or car/ferry, have a share in this suc-

cess. As Switzerland is not far from the Mediterranean Sea and has

some attractive inland lakes, our neighbours

have the highest number of boats in relation

to the number of inhabitants: 100,000 licensed leisure boats. No

wonder that the INTERBOOT closely cooperates with the Swiss Boat

Builders’ Association (SBV), and that the special exhibition area

SUISSE@INTERBOOT has been an INTERBOOT attraction for so many

years.

A Flair beyond Comparison

The Lake of Constance region is well-known for its beautiful

landscape. About six million overnight stays this year prove how

popular this travel destination is. Apart from the unique location

of the international water sports exhibition, the Messe Friedrichs-

hafen offers dedicated service and high comfort. It is easy to get

familiar with its architecture and the compact area. A modern in-

frastructure and the inclusion of the Lake of Constance into the

fair concept provide exhibition possibilities without comparison.

At the INTERBOOT you can perfectly accentuate your product – in

the hall, on the premises or directly on the the Lake of Constance,

in the INTERBOOT-Harbour. It offers you a large water sports testing

area – with its 535 km² a class of its own – and with more than

a 100 berths numerous exhibitors have ideal demon strating and

testing possibilities. Top sports events and a spectacular show with

loads of activities to join in ensure a high media presence and

visitor frequency in the harbour area and along the water front.

The atmosphere at the INTERBOOT in Friedrichshafen is incom-

parable. Exhibitors as well as visitors feel exceptionally well, which

is reflected by constantly high visitor numbers.
