GRASS ROOT SUPPORTERS.

Surfing Tasmania is keen to develop an industry support base for our sport from the coming

season, 2016.

We are asking you as businesses involved in supplying surf related goods and services,

whether as local board shapers, surf shops, wholesalers, national companies, petrol

stations, restaurants or any business who enjoys /supports the lifestyle of surfing in

Tasmania to consider this opportunity. We want to enhance your business opportunities

and profit whilst letting the surfing community know you are right behind them.

WHY DO WE ASK FOR YOUR SUPPORT?

Surfing nationally has enjoyed huge growth during the past decade. Over the past 5 years

Surfing Tasmania has outgrown it’s old operational models and is now a 12 months a year

operation (check our Facebook and website or E-newsletters). Our relationships with Surfing

Australia, Australian and State Governments and funding agencies require a professional

approach to function and support the various factions to achieve our strategic goals. Surfing

Tasmania needs to have sound financial base to run events, manage state-wide coaching

programs, support state teams, to develop new programmes and fund its administrative

costs. We also need to represent the thousands of other surfers in the state in protecting

access to our beaches and the pleasures of our unique surfing environment. Surfing

Tasmania would like continuity of support from a local base and intends to encourage a two

way community of surfers and supporters.

We ask you to take a few minutes and check our Facebook page which we use like a weekly

newspaper, and our NEW website to familiarize yourself with our business.
