Preface In the course of teaching and training we have actually felt the need for a better guidance. There are a few Industries which permitted to visit. One of them AMTEK is the forging manufacturers company which manufactures “Crank” of Hero-Honda motorbikes.

We are very thankful to my teachers, We have received Mr. Nishant Vibhav Saxena, Mr. Puspendra Singh, Mr. Sudhansu sir and all my dear friends.

The visit report is prepared by Brajendra Kushwaha, Ajay Kumar Patel and Anil Kumar Gupta. My thanks are also due to them. In Course of Create this report we have reffered many books and Guidance whenever possible.

I have drawn inspiration from the encouragement of the chairman of MIG Bhopal Mr. Vinod Yadav. Above all, I thank my Gurudev and creater of all to whom this project is dedicated.

Industrial location of AMTEK is very peaceful and there have nothingany disturbance due to population and beyond the daily life of Human being. The AMTEK industry is located on the Itarashi, Hosangabad road NH-07 about 15 to 20 km from the city is southeast of Bhopal city.

The industrial campus is Global and it is not small neither Big. Continue production is the characteristic of the AMTEK industry.

First Experience

As we reached the industrial Campus we have found Global campus. Our Faculty member met to campus officer and received permission to visit the campus.

Firstly a group of 30 students enters in the campus and remaining students were waiting for next round. I also from 2nd group of students.

Any way about 2 hours later the second group is now to come for visit the campus.

As we enters the campus we have encountered Three Mega machineries called MANYO-1450, Induction heater and Forging Press machine.

The MANYO die cutting machine is a largest machine which work on the principal of Hydraulic press. In which 3 to 4 meter rod enters as a raw material and cut into no. of pieces about 3000 piece per 8 hours, said Mr. Farhan Khan (Engg.)

According to Farhan Khan , Piece of dia 25 to 65 id cut by the die cutting machine. The workpiece is 400.50 ton weighty.

The cutting piece is now enters the induction heater a t 1200*c temperature. For the purpose of melting the material for power press .

In the Induction Heater the raw workpiece is now arrange in a number of series by manual. The work piece is enter one by one at moderate temperature of 1200*c. Induction heater is also a large machine.

Power press forging machine

The melted workpiece is now come to enters the next stage known as forging step.

In this step a wide range of force is pressed against the workpiece so that the final product to have found In the unfinishing form . In which the some Number of product were damaged so they are finally removed from separate trolly.

We have also faced to the tool workshop. The tool workshop is one in which the refactory are manufactures because of continue production . It is

greater chance to failure the too material so that we have encountered from the Lathe machine, CNC Lathe machine, Vertical drilling machine in which the work was on progress.

There where a wide range of CNC lathe machine about 8 to 10.

According to Mr. Farhan Khan the manufactured component is supplied to the Bangaloru to the Hero & Honda company.
