OVERVIEW

Indonesia Infrastructure Week, the largest exhibition for infrastructure and construction in Indonesia, took place 9-11 November 2016 at Jakarta Convention Center – Indonesia. The official supporters of the exhibition were KADIN - Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Ministry of Transportation, Coordinating Ministry of Economic Affairs, Ministry of National Development Planning, Ministry of Communications and Informatics and BKPM - Indonesia Investment Coordinating Board.

This year’s IIW consisted of three key events covering crucial sectors of infrastructure - Indonesia International Infrastructure Conference and Exhibition, Airport Solutions Indonesia and Expo Comm Indonesia. Two big construction events – Konstruksi Indonesia and The Big 5 Construct Indonesia were also co-located within IIW, making it the most influential gathering of Indonesia’s infrastructure & construction stakeholders under one roof, with more than USD 16.37 billion of business done during the three show days.

The event was opened by Joko Widodo, President of Republic of Indonesia, accompanied by (L - R); Rosan P Roeslani, Chairman of Indonesia Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KADIN Indonesia); Rudiantara, Minister of Communication and Informatics, RI; Basoeki Hadimoeljono, Minister of Public Works and Housing, RI; Bambang Brodjonegoro, Minister of National Development Planning, RI.

Held in conjunction with Indonesia Infrastructure Week 2016, the ASEAN G2B Infrastructure Investment Forum was hosted by KADIN Indonesia, in coordination with the Indonesian Government and the ASEAN Secretariat, and addressed the critical challenges and opportunities for partnering with Indonesia in delivering over 1/3 of the projected spend (USD 1.3 Trillion) required across Indonesia as outlined within the Master Plan for ASEAN Connectivity 2025 (MPAC 2025).
