An inspiring and educational journey through ancient grounds, this Aboriginal bushwalk will give you a deep understanding of the traditional Darug culture. Guided through the song line (story of place), the two hour walk (4km medium grade) leads you into secluded bush and rainforest, and into sacred Dreamtime sites.
The tour also consists of four hours of Aboriginal learnings connecting you with the Dreamtime and ancient culture. Discover ancient ceremonial sites and rock art, learn about bush medicine, see wildlife and stunning scenery, ochre bark and body painting, even taste some traditional bush tucker.
In the summer there’s the option to paddle under a picture-perfect waterfall in a fresh water billabong. In the winter, enjoy a hearty lunch in a natural sandstone cave, warmed by a crackling log fire.
The tour endeavours to connect each member with the Dreamtime through story, art, ritual, and dance. Focusing on the Aboriginal connection to the land, the walkabout offers a unique and powerful way to experience the paths trodden for thousands of years.

Experience a unique welcome to Australia by the oldest human culture on Earth today. Tours showcase Sydney’s Aboriginal Dreamtime beginnings. This is a perfect introduction to Aboriginal culture and the heritage and history of Sydney Harbour’s World Heritage listed landscape.
Dreamtime Southern X is owned by Margret Campbell and her family who are coastal water people of the Dunghutti and Djerrinjah Nations. Tours are grounded in Aboriginal Dreamtime culture and are led by Aboriginal guides who are trained in Margret’s cultural knowledge and wisdoms. Margret then gives permission to share this expression that connects to Sydney’s billion year old saltwater harbour, flora and fauna, marine life and Sandstone rockbeds. The seasonal landscape features continue to influence Aboriginal thinking and behaviour of land use practices - music, song, dance, art and lifestyle today.
Our short inner city Sydney tour experiences are much more than viewing the beautiful iconic landmarks of the Sydney Opera House, Sydney Harbour Bridge and the magnificent Harbour. Appreciate Aboriginal history heritage and culture when understanding the why, when and how we humans all walk on Wyanga Malu (earth mother) to create each of our own footprints, lifestyle journeys and make memories from our sacred landscapes.

Mutawintji Historic Site contains significant and remarkably beautiful Aboriginal rock paintings, stencils and carvings evidencing more than 8000 years of human occupation in the area. These signify a range of different artistic styles and provide valuable insights into the lives of the people throughout the past eight millennia.
As you wander around Mutawintji learning about its history as a busy and vibrant meeting place, it’s hard not to be swept up by the lingering magic that seems to hover over every engraved rock face and every cool, deep water hole. Mutawintji is a very special place, charged with life and stories, and should be on the touring itinerary of every visitor to Outback NSW.
The tours into the Historic Site will take you into the Cultural Centre where you will enjoy an audio-visual presentation
about the Dreamtime creation of Mutawintji, followed by two interpretive walks within the Historic Site. One walk is to the hand stencil site with magnificent overhanging caverns, and the other walk is to the rock engravings site where you will see one of the most extensive displays of panaramitee style rock art in South East Australia. We have a number of Indigenous and non-Indigenous guides who have been accredited by the traditional owners to conduct tours into the Historic Site.

In the farthest reaches of remote Northern Australia lies Arnhem Land. This vast and rugged wilderness is where the Yolngu people have lived for millennia. On this seven-day adventure discover this beautiful stretch of traditional land. Learn about Dhuwa and Yirritja way of life, which will challenge many of us that live in westernised society. Then depart the mainland for nearby Bremer Island and feel like castaways marooned on this spectacular oasis, devoid of human development and interference. Don’t pass up this unique opportunity to witness the close cultural connection between the land and Australia’s Indigenous people, the oldest civilization on Earth.
East Arnhem Land is a truly untouched part of Australia, rich with culture and tradition. Arrive at Nyinyikay and be greeted with a traditional Welcome to Country and a welcoming dance. This important tradition ties into one of the areas Dingo song lines, which you will learn about during your time here.
Enjoy two days of cultural activities with the Nyinyikay traditional Yolngu owners. These activities could include making spears and Yidaki (Didgeridoos) for men, or collecting materials and dyes for basket making. There will also be an opportunity to witness the hunting and gathering methods, or if you’re more interested in the traditional arts, the homeland also teaches some traditional dances as well as bark painting, jewellery making and basket weaving. At the end of each day, sit with the traditional owners around the fire and make the most of this unique opportunity to learn about their culture.
Heading to Bremer Island, you can enjoy the next two days relaxing and reflecting at Banubanu Beach Retreat. Perhaps set out on one of the many walking trails through the dunes, practice some bird watching or beach combing, or head out on the boat for a days fishing or exploring East Bremer Island, a pure white sand Island a short boat ride away from Banubanu.
On arrival back on the mainland, visit Yirrkala’s world famous art gallery. The Buku Art Centre presents art works created by men and women of the many Aboriginal clans in the area, with paintings, sculptures, wood crafts, and cross hatching techniques on display, and learn about how this establishment serves as a learning centre for the local children of the surrounding communities. Enjoy a final meal with your group before finishing the following morning at Gove airport.

Longitude 131° offers guests the exclusive opportunity to visit the remote community of Ernabella, home to the oldest Indigenous arts centre in Australia. Engage with the residents, learn about each artist’s heritage and explore the rich and colourful culture of Indigenous Australia on a full-day private tour.
Established in 1948, Ernabella Arts has been a creative heart of Indigenous Australia for decades. The normally closed community opens its doors to Longitude 131° guests to meet the talented group of artists and gain insights into the ancient techniques and stories forming the basis of their artworks.
Today, the Ernabella Arts’ group of artists is a mix of young and old, men and women, who continue to evolve the centre from its first incarnation as a craft room, into a culturally strong, contemporary art centre.
The centre produces works in a variety of mediums that often draws worldwide acclaim.
Designed to offer a deeper connection to the outback, the specialist tour delves into the Indigenous symbols used by the artists to depict their Tjukurpa (sacred stories of country and law). Having drawn inspiration from the techniques and practises, each tour member will also have the opportunity to create their own ceramic tile to take home as a souvenir of the day.

Only 40 minutes’ drive out of Alice Springs, in the West Macdonnell Ranges National Park, Standley Chasm Angkerle Atwatye is a vertical shaft rising 80 metres high. At noon, the overhead sun filters down into the cleft and highlights its glorious colours creating a truly spectacular sight. In traditional Arrernte culture, this area was very important for the region as a special “womans’ gathering place”. To have an authentic interpretation, local Aboriginal guides can be booked or enjoy the self-guided tour on a leisurely 1.2km (20mins return) walk.
This lush “desert valley” environment has various microecosystems that are protected in this nature reserve and maintain the unique link that this ancient culture has with its
land, flora and fauna. The abundance of local flora also allows visitors to appreciate the local “Bush Tucker”.
The shady scenic walk into the Chasm is a convenient base for shorter/day walks along the Larapinta Trail. Various camping, RV and powered sites are available. The KioskCafe, operated by the community, prepares fresh lunches/barista coffees and coach catering from 8am to 5pm and the gift shop has local crafts and paintings.
Local artists regularly attend onsite to produce and market their local crafts, always avaliable in the giftshop giving an opportunity for all to enjoy cross cultural interactions.

The name Bunjilaka is derived from the word ‘Bunjil’ (Boon Wurrung and Woi Wurrung language). ‘Bunjil’ was a significant creation ancestor for most of Victoria’s Aboriginal language groups, translating to ‘land’ or ‘place’.
Bunjilaka features a variety of exhibitions covering a celebration of a culture deeply entwined with the land, the impact of British colonisation and how Aboriginal people have strived to maintain their culture, and the ongoing debate about Aboriginal knowledge, law and property in Australia.
First Peoples, the award-winning permanent exhibition,
celebrates the diversity, continuity, strength and vitality of Koorie people, and presents a new and truly shared approach to the telling of history. The exhibition focuses on Victoria’s more than 40 Aboriginal language groups – uncovering hidden histories, challenging preconceptions, and inviting visitors to connect through people, place and story.
Also, make sure to visit Birrarung Gallery, a magnificent river-inspired space dedicated to Aboriginal art from South Eastern Australia. There’s also Milarri Garden, a beautiful outdoor space in Bunjilaka, filled with native flora significant to the Aboriginal people of South-Eastern Australia.

The Worn Gundidj Aboriginal Co-operative conducts guided tours from the Visitor Centre located in the heart of the Tower Hill Wildlife Reserve. This reserve is a dormant volcano, being one of the worlds largest examples of a nested maar, comprising a series of scoria cones located inside the main crater, and surrounded by an extensive lake and wetland system.
Having been completely revegetated commencing in the 1960s, the reserve is now home to many of Australias iconic animals – kangaroos, wallabies, emus, koalas and echidnas, as well as a wide range of reptiles, and up to 200 species of birds.
Our tours provide the visitor with a wealth of information in relation to the history of the reserve, both pre and post European settlement. The Visitor Centre has a wide range of indigenous
artefacts, and our tours include the opportunity to learn about and handle these tools and implements.
Our guides are versed in the history and culture of the land’s original Indigenous inhabitants, and have a wealth of knowledge about the flora and fauna to be found in the reserve. Lasting for 90 minutes, the tours include a guided walk through a section of the reserve that is home to many bush food plants, as well as many of the free roaming wildlife species.
Our tours can be tailored to suit the needs of individuals and groups, and whatever options are chosen, the visitor is guaranteed a unique insight into Australias rich history, culture and natural environment.
