INDIA PHASE 2 – A MODERN DAY MIRACLE

Training Thousands – Reaching Millions

It is with joy and great thankfulness to our Lord that I give you this update......

Four years and six months ago, in 2012, we shared a vision to reach 12 million souls in India in the following six years.

In a word, that vision was to send out 50 National Missionary Pastors every six months for six years...literally 12 cycles. Each would train and equip 20 underground National Pastors in mostly unreached areas. If enabled by God to do so, over 12,000 National Pastors would return to their people; trained, equipped and ready to train thousands of engaged soul winners; reaching untold multitudes for Christ.

Now; for not ONE, but TWO miracles:

First - Each of these pastors needed sponsorship each time they were sent out. Not just for their expenses; but, for all 20 pastors they were to train. Additionally, for the materials equipping these pastors to return home prepared to train and equip their people. The cost? $1,000 per sponsorship which enabled the reaching of some 23,000 precious souls in the following 24 months.

The MIRACLE? Two weeks ago, we completed our 9th cycle with all 50 National Missionary Pastors receiving full sponsorship and ON TIME – for ALL NINE CYCLES!!!!

Secondly - All goals have been exceeded with 9,521 National Pastors trained and equipped, over 900 thousand soul winners have been engaged with over 9 million precious souls reached with the Gospel!!! Bear with me a minute more - it’s truly exciting....... Yes, we have truly “Come this far by Faith”. Now, we must finish in VICTORY! First, we must finish Cycle #10 (February of2018) and Cycle #11 (July of 2018) with complete sponsorship of all 50 pastors. THEN, in February of 2019, we will travel to India and launch Cycle#12 in a victory celebration...As we look for the soon coming of our Lord, we must’ not “let up”....”slow up”.... nor, “give up”!! Let’s dream together of 12 million precious souls in heaven, not hell, because of the glorious Gospel!!

Notice in this month’s verse, II Corinthians 5:17, that the word “us” appears twice. The first “us” states that we have been saved, been reconciled to God, by the precious blood of Christ. The second “us” declares that, after salvation, we have been given a ministry; the ministry of reconciliation. This is soul winning, evangelism-- the very essence of all that we do together as a “MINISTRY TEAM”.

What a privilege!! The ministry of reconciliation - the nailed, pierced hand of Jesus reaching down by grace to man saying, “I want to save you”. The sin stained hand of man reaching up to Him by faith saying, “Jesus, I need you and you alone to save me”. When grace and faith meet, man is reconciled to God!!

What a joy it is to introduce a person to God! This is what the church in Acts did “daily”. And we, through personal soul winning, do the same. And, God has graciously allowed us, through the WITNESS PROJECT, to multiply our outreach.

This UPDATE is all about sharing with you what God is doing through our combined efforts, rejoicing in His faithfulness and thanking Him for enabling us to be used in His wonderful plan.

YOUR RESPONSE TRIGGERED A GOSPEL SURGE

In our July “Ministry Team” report, I shared with you the urgent financial need to reach into 3 countries – totaling $25,463. Your response has been overwhelming! Thank you! We have been able to move forward without delay. God’s enablement has proved sufficient because of your sacrifice, prayers and dedication.

India –A Miracle Developes – One of the needs that I shared was for India. You might remember that we were given the wonderful opportunity of printing 2,500 packs of literature to equip National Pastors -- $8,616 was needed to totally pay for this printing need. Since then, an additional $2,216 was needed to ship the materials to the unreached regions. Praise the Lord – these needs have been met in a miraculous way. The report on pages 3 and 4 of this report will bless you greatly!! You will want to read it several times and rejoice over this opportunity to reach thousands upon thousands who have never heard the name of Jesus....even once.

San Salvador – Central America Expansion – God has also allowed us to take a major step in Central America. This past Friday our team returned from San Salvador, experiencing one of our best meetings yet! Full details will be given later. Excitingly, just like India, we have been able to multiply our efforts in Central and South America through National Pastors training other National Pastors in soul winning and church planting. The Witness Project has a foothold in every country in Central America! Praise the Lord!!

Cuba – As a Team; Let’s Declare Victory – A host of prayer warriors are needed for Cuba. James Adams, our Latin America Director, will be spending 6 full weeks there in October and November. 1,375 National Pastors will be trained and equipped in 5 different International Soul Winning Director’s Institutes. Even with the door in Cuba closing slowly, each one of these meetings being advanced right on target.

An initial budget of $25,000 has been reduced to a need of $11,200. Thank you for your sacrificial giving and involvement. Many have responded. Note that our “faith gift” for this month will be directed toward Cuba. We must declare victory! God has given us an open door to reach nearly 10% of the total population of this country in the next 24 months. To God be the Glory!

Soul Winning Conference – Columbia, SC — Expectation – What a joy to announce to you that the same soul winning excitement and expectation that we are experiencing overseas is building right here in America. “The Soul Winning Conference” will be held August 25-26 here in Columbia, SC. Not only will believers be trained in effective soul winning; but, ministry leaders will be prepared to explode the Operation Go program in their church This event has drawn great interest from this area as well as surrounding cities and states. Present plans are to schedule four Conferences per year in key sections across the US.

EXCITEMENT GROWS AS OUR BASE EXPANDS

Mexico – The largest conference of Baptist pastors across Mexico occurs once a year and draws 5,000 National Pastors. I have been invited to speak twice at this conference the 2nd week of August. Promoting

soul winning and church growth, it has strategically been named “The FIRES Conference”.

James Adams will be traveling with me. We will be promoting one objective: the recruiting of at least 5 National leaders across Mexico that can host International Soul Winning Director’s Institutes. Please pray – with this objective accomplished – we can literally train

thousands upon thousands of National Pastors and touch all of Mexico with the Gospel while planting many new churches. What an opportunity!! I can hardly wait to give you a full

report with pictures upon my return.

David Wood, JR – Onboard – What a joy it is to announce that our son, David Wood, Jr, will be taking a positive role in the ministry. He brings a deep love for the Lord, great preaching and leadership skills with him. Thousands are already being blessed by his weekly e-mail, “Bible Basics”.

David will be preaching the Gospel in select churches and meetings. While maintaining his residence in Woodstock, GA, he will be increasing the outreach and effectiveness of our total ministry through assuming a leadership role on our Ministry Board. Witness Project Affiliate Pastors Reorganized – A core of dedicated pastors with a burden for worldwide evangelization have been gathering around the Witness Project this year. Thirty-two pastors have now become Affiliates with the Witness Project International. Through emails and conference calls, they will be giving prayerful direction and advice as we expand the base of the Witness Project’s Gospel outreach to every continent in the near future. Praise the Lord for these men. We are praying that their number will expand to 100 and then 200. Andrew Broucher – DWM Associate Evangelist – God’s hand is upon this young man! This past spring, I had the special privilege of directing the Ordination Council of Brother Andrew. What a grasp

of the Scripture, a deep love for the Lord and dedication to soul winning he communicated. Since then, God has moved upon his heart and our heart for him to be associated with this ministry as an Associate Evangelist. We are thrilled!

Philippines Missions Trip – Plan Now – Imagine a 10-day trip to Far east Asia – to the Philippines – to Manila. Now, imagine joining in the training and equipping of hundreds of National Pastors in a 3-day conference: experiencing their joy at graduation and commitment to soul winning and church planting. Then, let your mind soar as you attend evening crusades with thousands in attendance and many coming to Christ.

There will be limited shopping with an action packed schedule. A thoroughly wonderful trip packed with Spiritual growth, blessings and outreach....Look for more information to follow.

OH! I forgot to throw in the wonderful fact that Joey Sauco will be our host. That, in itself, makes the trip worth it!!!!

Trenton, GA Printing Ministry Expands – Our printing ministry office located in Trenton, GA has just taken a wonderful step forward. Under the direction of our youngest son, Jonathan, this ministry has expanded in the last couple of years to not only serve us in a limited capacity; but, to raise funds for many areas of the Witness Project. Now, all of this has been accelerated! Our old Xerox copiers have been replaced with a new Xerox C70. The potential ministry funding has risen substantially. Thank you, Jon for your selfless management of this ministry division. Pray for him and his wonderful family as they continue to develop and serve God.

CHRISTMAS WISH LIST 2017What a joy to announce that our annual Christmas Wish List will be bigger, this year, than ever before.
