    General notes

    Technical Documentation guidelines-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    You can find herewith some generic information to simplify cunsulting of technical documentation:

    1. Models of same range share the same exploded views, which report the richest set of spare parts:generally, a model does not necessarly have arelated spare part for each particular shown on exploded views.

    2. Some spare parts can not be represented directly on the exploded views (instruction booklets, specific kit, etc...). You can find those codes in thespare parts list with the same reference of particular where spares are installed or with references 099, 999. Instruction booklets, once managed,appear with 000 reference.

    3. On the higher right site of each exploded view there is a serial number which indicates the beginning of the production of certain range:somemodels might have more than an exploded view for a given category, each distinguished by a different serial no.and linked to another spare partslist, In this case, serial no. is required to supply the right spare part code. Exploded view to be considered is the one with a more recent serial no.but previous than the one of the model that needs assistance.

    4.Exploded views might require further updates even after publishing. Addition of new spares will go on following the already existing numerationreferences. Revision number of an exploded view is shown into last four digits of serial number into upper right hand corner.

    5.The spare parts list associated to an exploded view shows related codes of spares managed for a certain model; for each spare part otherinformations are available:

    REF: reference no of spare into a table; SUBSTITUTE: list of spare(s) which can replace a code but that keeps same functional characteristics

    INDUSTRIAL CODE: list of variables of a model (shown into model label) where such spare is used; NOTICE: code of information(s) to refer tocomplete technical intervention, track for changes or to find correct spare part code.

    6. Some notices, into a same section are generic therefore cannot be directly linked to a spare part. In order to assist a model in the best way aspossible, it is helpful to pay attention to all notices and constantly verify documentation updates

    7.Technical documentation cover shows model name and its commercial codes

    Notices

    n1040028Pressure switch hose and shock absorber-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Beginning from serial no. 90517.0001 the models related to the notice have been using the pressure switch hose (L=530 mm) with the addition of ashock absorber.

    Codes of shock absorbers used:

    Code 034325 - Pressure switch hose (L=580 mm) *

    Code 019755 - Shock absorber.

    *In order to reduce the number of parts handled by the SAT, the documentation shows the code of the pressure switch hose (L=580 mm).

    The person in charge of assistance will have to cut the new hose as needed, according to the dimensions given in this Notice.

    n1040045Dispenser lid and counterweights-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Beginning with serial no. 90825.0001, on 600 rpm Washing machines manufactured at the Teverola factory, the following parts have been used:

    Part no. 056949 - Plastic dispenser lid kit;

    Part no. 054768 - Front counterweight 9.8 Kg;

    Part no. 063246 - Upper counterweight 14.5 Kg.

    The counterweights part nos. 054768 and 063246, if used together, can be used instead of the pre-modification ones (in order: 056440 and

  • page 13

    054767) which will only continue to be handled until stocks run out.

    The dispenser lid part no. 056949 can be used instead of the previous one (part no. 056442) and 063244 used on other models from which it isdifferent, in that it has two thermostat holes instead of just the one.

    If the model being repaired only requires the use of one thermostat, the hole for the second one should be closed with the plug (part no. 020181)provided in the kit.

    n1040052Modification of the expander shaft.-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Beginning with serial no. 91115.0001, in order to improve the fixing of the shock absorber onto the tub, the diameter of the end part of theexpander's shaft was increased by 0.2 mm on the Washing machines with plastic tubs manufactured at the Teverola factory.

    The new part is handled with the same SAT code 055037 as the pre-modification one and can be used, applying a drop of Super Attac adhesive onthe end part of the shaft which is to be inserted into the expander upon blocking it.

    n1040058Various modifications (Plastic tub without safety thermostat hole, new supply cable and radio interferencesuppresser complete with terminal board).-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Beginning with serial no. 00110.0001, a few modifications have been made to washing machines manufactured at the Teverola factory. Thesemodifications mainly affected the cabinet (on which the perforation of the terminal board was modified) and the tub (from which the hole and thesafety thermostat were removed) and a new heating element with fuse was used.

    The new parts, except for the worktop, cannot be used on their own on pre-modification appliances because the cabinet has to have the supplycable moulded together as well as the radio interference suppresser and the quick connection condenser, whereas for the tub it is absolutelynecessary to use the heating element with fuse.

    However, to carry out this intervention, the wiring needs to be modified in the following way:

    1) Discard the wire leading from the safety thermostat to the heating element.

    2) Disconnect the wire that leads from the wiring to the safety thermostat and insert it onto the contact of the new heating element on which thefuse is placed (it can be recognised by the green insulating sheath on 230 V models and the blue one on 240 Volt models).

    The pre-modification parts shall continue to be handled until stocks run out.

    The following table has been attached in order to make it simpler to identify the parts necessary for the use of a new cabinet or of a new tub on pre-modification appliances.

    n1040059Kit of bearings plus sealing ring for appliances with a plastic tub.-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    The kit of bearings plus sealing ring part no. 066691 (cod. 090554 Kit 600-800 and cod. 090555 Kit 800-1000) has been coded to apply thebearings onto appliances with a plastic tub, thus avoiding having to necessarily replace the tub as well as the lid, due to possible deformationscaused by hot wash cycles that make the coupling of the two parts impossible.

    Once the bearings have been extracted, take particular care in making sure that the housing of the bearings does not constitute a deformedsurface, in which case the tub and lid should both be replaced.

    To ensure that the sealing ring is perfectly watertight, it is essential that you use around 7 gr. of Amblig TA grease which must be distributed evenlyamong the surfaces of the bearings that are in contact with the sealing ring and in the central hole of the ring itself.

    n1040060Remco modules with 12 A Triac-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Beginning with serial no. 00217.0001, the following modules with 12 A triac have been used on appliances produced at the Comunanza / Teverolafactory:

    Part no. 066454 - REMCO 5520

    Part no. 066455 - REMCO 5521

    Part no. 066456 - REMCO 5530

    Part no. 066457 - REMCO 5531

  • page 15

    The new modules can be used instead of the corresponding pre-modification modules, which will continue to be handled normally until stocks runout.

    Part no. 051446 - REMCO 5520

    Part no. 056332 - REMCO 5521

    Part no. 053085 - REMCO 5530

    n1040179Kit of Small Steel Sleeves for spring eyelets on plastic tubs.-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    If on the apparatus' with plastic tubs with registration number previous to 81001.0001, the wearing of the spring eyelet shows (caused by ananomalous rubbing of the spring on the plastic), a Kit of small steel bushes been realized (Diameter 10 mm X Length 10 mm) Code 081216.

    The two small sleeves that are part of the kit have to be inserted in interference to the spring eyelets (see Letter A in following figure)when signsthat these have being used are visible. The solution is effective even if the ring is completely cut.

    n1040184Modification of counterweight fixing on front plastic tubs.-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    From the registration no. 10320.0001, the front counterweight fixing system has been modified, on Washing machines with plastic tubs produced in

  • page 16

    the Teverola factory plant, that now is achieved via the use of three self-tapping screws code 081630.

    This modification has affected the following items :

    Tubs code 066420 and 066530.

    The modified tubs retain the same SAT pre-modification code and will be handled until stock depletion and are equipped with the respective fixingscrews;

    Pre-modified tubs equipped with the following items:

    Qty. 3 Screws code 014342;

    Qty. 3 Conical washers code 055018;

    Qty. 3 Plain washers code 034336.

    Modified tubs, equipped with the following items:

    Qty. 3 Self-tapping screws code 081630.

    Front counterweight.

    The modified front counterweight code 081633 may be used in place of the pre-modification counterweight code 054768 but not vice versa, the pre-modification counterweight will continue to be handled until stock depletion.

    Each time in a modified tub it is necessary to unscrew the self-tapping screws that stop the front counterweight , effecting again the fixing andavoiding a possible loosening in time of the tub and consequently its break , it has to be used screws code 014342, conical washers code 055018,plain washers code 034336 and plates code 055038.

    n1040200Electrovalve drill hole plug for Teverola production cabinets.-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    From the registration no. 10601.0001 on all Washing machines produced in the Teverola plant have been using cabinets with two electrovalve drillholes.

    If the model produced provides for one only electrovalve, then one drill hole is capped by using the appropriate plug code 083796.

    The cabinets handled by After Sales Service with two electrovalve drill holes where used on models with one only electrovalve should use the plug.

    n1040223Discharge pump "RAST5" for Teverola washing machines

  • page 17

    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    From the registration no. 11022.0001, the Teverola produced washing machines involved by the present Notice, will use new discharge pumpscode 085618 and 085617 in substitution respectively to the preceding codes: 044998 and 050334.

    The new pumps may be used in place of the preceding pumps ensuring that the terminals are equipped with faston covers.

    The pre-modification pumps will be handled regularly until stock depletion.

    n1040235Restored the fixing of the anterior counterweight with platelets inserted in the tub-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    From the 11105.0001 registration number on the washing machines with plastic tubs produced in the Teverola factory, the fixing of the anteriorcounterweight is restored with platelets inserted in the tub instead of those realised with self-threading screws, the system described in NoticeN1040184.

    The tubs maintain the same SAT code and are provided with the following particulars:

    N 3 Screws code cod. 014342;

    N 3 Conical washer cod. 055018;

    N 3 Plain washer cod. 034336.

    Whenever the necessity may arise on a tub, proceed with diverting the self-threading screws that block the anterior counterweight., as it'scompulsory to execute the fixing again avoiding in time a possible loosening and thus the breaking of the tub by utilising the registered screws(cod. 014342), the conical washers (cod. 055018), the plain washers (cod. 034336) and the platelets (cod. 055038).

    0111115NOTICES FOR PLASTIC TUBS-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    WASHING MACHINE WITH PLASTIC TUB

    ---Correct installation of the belt:

    In order to install the belt properly, it must be positioned at the centre of the drum pulley or towards the exterior of the machine (at least 3 mm fromthe inner edge of the pulley). This is to prevent the belt from slipping off the pulley.

    This procedure must be followed because the plastic parts (tank and tank cover) undergo distortion during the heating phase of the cycle, whichinclines the top part of the pulley 3 mm away from the cover of the tank.

    ---Replacement of the tank or the cover back:

    During cycles using hot water, the tank and cover undergo distortion, which makes it impossible for either of the parts to be used with a newreplacement part. Therefore, if either of the two is faulty, BOTH must be replaced.

    n1040045Dispenser lid and counterweights-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

  • page 19

    Beginning with serial no. 90825.0001, on 600 rpm Washing machines manufactured at the Teverola factory, the following parts have been used:

    Part no. 056949 - Plastic dispenser lid kit;

    Part no. 054768 - Front counterweight 9.8 Kg;

    Part no. 063246 - Upper counterweight 14.5 Kg.

    The counterweights part nos. 054768 and 063246, if used together, can be used instead of the pre-modification ones (in order: 056440 and054767) which will only continue to be handled until stocks run out.

  • page 20

  • page 21

    Part no. 066454 - REMCO 5520

    Part no. 066455 - REMCO 5521

    Part no. 066456 - REMCO 5530

    Part no. 066457 - REMCO 5531

    The new modules can be used instead of the corresponding pre-modification modules, which will continue to be handled normally until stocks runout.

    Part no. 051446 - REMCO 5520

    Part no. 056332 - REMCO 5521

    Part no. 053085 - REMCO 5530

    Part no. 056333 - REMCO 5531.

    n1040179Kit of Small Steel Sleeves for spring eyelets on plastic tubs.-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

10320.0001, the front counterweight fixing system has been modified, on Washing machines with plastic tubs produced inthe Teverola factory plant, that now is achieved via the use of three self-tapping screws code 081630.

    This modification has affected the following items :

  • page 22

    Tubs code 066420 and 066530.

    The modified tubs retain the same SAT pre-modification code and will be handled until stock depletion and are equipped with the respective fixingscrews;

    Pre-modified tubs equipped with the following items:

    Qty. 3 Screws code 014342;

    Qty. 3 Conical washers code 055018;

  • page 23

    The cabinets handled by After Sales Service with two electrovalve drill holes where used on models with one only electrovalve should use the plug.

    n1040235Restored the fixing of the anterior counterweight with platelets inserted in the tub-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    N 3 Screws code cod. 014342;

    N 3 Conical washer cod. 055018;
