All classes are held at Community House, 72 Neill Street, Beaufort unless otherwise stated.
We offer a 10% discount for Seniors on most classes. Don’t forget to ask.
Classes funded by ACFE are priced for individual participation. Business and corporate rates may differ from the prices included in the program. Please check with the Manager for these rates. We can tailor a course to your business needs!
On funded courses, BCHLC is required to charge a student contribution consistent with Ministerial Direction on Fees & Charges. Minimum tuition fee of $55 + amenities entitles students to 40 hours of tuition.
This organisation respects your right to information privacy. Information which we collect and hold on learners is kept in accordance with information privacy laws.
Enrolment in courses will close one week before the scheduled class date and bookings can be made via phone, fax, post, online or in person.
Full payment must be made prior to the commencement of first class. Refunds will only apply when courses are cancelled due to insufficient enrolments. Notification will be given only when classes are cancelled or rescheduled.
Classes are not held on public holidays unless otherwise notified.

Unleash your creative side with our Microsoft Publisher course. This will include Basic for the beginner and Advanced for students needing more expertise.
Learn to create high-quality publications, such as brochures, newsletter, leaflets, posters, greeting/post cards etc.
Basic computer skills are required.

Publisher Course
This program includes theory on the different welding processes and hazards associated with welding, consumables and applications.
You will be taught machine settings, different welding joints used in industry on low carbon steel, plus the setting up and operation of the fuel gas equipment.
Students to provide their own combination overalls or non-flammable clothing, welding mask, solid leather boots, safety glasses and welding gauntlets.

Introduction to Welding
Xero accounting allows you to send online invoices to customers, categorises your latest bank transactions. allowing you to make the best use of your time. Xero backs up your data and protects it with multiple layer of security in Cloud.
MYOB – This allows you to manage your own bookkeeping and learn the correct use of this accounting software.

In the Flow—Fluid Painting
Intermediate Course
This class is an advanced class for students who have attended previously.
Join Shellabelle for a fun packed 6 week term, building on the skills and techniques of FLUID PAINTING already learnt.
Course covers skills for:
Mixing paints and additives
Colour layering
Canvas preparing and tilting
Various techniques for affects

RSA (Responsible Serving of Alcohol)
A nationally recognised and accredited course. A must for anyone working in:
Hospitality industry or volunteers who serve alcohol at fundraising events, including sporting or social venues.
Liquor stores—staff who host wine tastings or sell alcohol.

Nationally Accredited Training
This is a nationally recognised and accredited course. The qualification will be valid for 3 years and provides learners with the opportunity to learn how to manage a medical emergency and provide first aid in the home, workplace and general community.
Online pre-learning is required before attending the course. Minimum requirement is to be able to perform CPR on the floor.
Statement of Attainment is issued by the Asthma foundation for Victoria (RTO Provider No 4987) upon successful completion of all assessment requirements and demonstration of all required competencies.

Apply First Aid
Perform CPR
This is a nationally recognised & accredited
course. It is a workplace requirement that
this course be completed annually.
The course provides learners with the
opportunity to recognise & manage an
unconscious & non-breathing individual
(casualty) using the lifesaving techniques of
CPR. Minimum requirement is to be able to
perform CPR on the floor.

Christmas Lunch Decorations
Nuno Felt Scarf Workshop
This workshop shows you how to make a gorgeous Nuno felt scarf using pure tissue silk and superfine merino wool. This scarf will be one of a kind and made by you to wear on special occasions or just to highlight your outfit.
Students will need to bring two old towels, 2 litre plastic container, supermarket plastic bag and olive soap (green)
Judith will supply all the other materials required.

They are easy to make and inexpensive. They
can be personalized for your family & special
friends, by the message, jokes or trinkets that
you put inside.

At this workshop participants will be shown
how to make ricotta, halloumi and chevre (a
soft goat cheese) and have plenty to take
home.
Kate lives on Mount Bolton and has a small
dairy goat stud and breeds unusual types of
sheep and cattle. Kate is passionate about
good food being simple to make and tasty.
At this workshop, you will be able to see
how simple traditional farmhouse cheeses
are made.

Cheese Making Workshop
“Yam Holes Couture” at Beaufort Show!!
It’s new! It’s revitalized! It’s time to recycle, remake, reconstruct and reuse fabric to produce
an outfit.
This year it is Denim, buttons and bows. ALL garments need to be made from items that can
be found at Op shops and remade. They are to be reconstructed, NOT restyled
As part of the entry, a photo of the original garments and other items used in the outfit will
be required, plus a description of the finished outfit.
Entrants to provide a suitable stand for display and a model for the fashion parade.
It’s time to start preparing now.
