the following pages contain a sample of work completed while employed with period Architecture in West Chester, pennsylvania. period Architecture is a traditional architecture firm working primarily in the residential market. their area of focus is the resoration, renovation, and design of homes in pennsylvania vernacular styles.

My work for this firm included hand drawing, sketching, schematic design work, CAD construction drawings, site surveys, 3D modeling, and physical model building.

ward Six MuniCipal hall

the Ward six Municipal hall located at 700 9th street sW in Washington, D.C. was the capstone project of my work in Judson University’s Masters of Architecture program. A continuation of the fall semester’s urban design work, this design for a council hall builds upon the principles of reurbanization and the reknitting of a community in a portion of the city fabric destroyed by urban renewal efforts. Using a Georgian style to relate to the few pieces of surviving fabric and to speak of the local governing system housed within, the Ward six Municipal hall and Council Chamber provides a center for local government and community functions and serves as the architectural center for a neighborhood that is slowly rebuilding its history and establishing again a sense of place.
