Riskolater Snares glades Handicap at Hialeah by Four Length Widener 'Cap -Contender Was $1,500 Pickup
Miami, F la , Feb, 19 US)—The $50,000 added Widener Handicap comes up at Hialeah Park Saturday and one of the contenders was once a "plug" picked up for less than the price of a new automobile— 11,500.
His name is Lets Dance, and he was bought by Miami's Sunshine Stable for less than any self-respecting claiming price. Since then, he has won $95,220 in little more than two years of racing.
Lets Dance Is best remembered as winner of the $50,000 added San Pastjual Handicap at Santa Anita early this year, but as even greater achievement would be a victory over the Calumet Farm star, Armed, in the Widener. Armed, leading money winning
gelding of all time, goes postward at 129 pounds and likely will be a 2-5 favorite for the mile and a quarter classic. Lets Dance will carry 115 pounds.
It will be strictly up to Lets Dance, since his running mate, Buzfuz, is not entered It will be interesting to see how he performs with Buzfuz in the barn. Both were in the San Pasqual and In the Seminole Handicap a week •go, which Buxfux won with Lets Danes second.
Lets Dance nas gone postward 40 times and finished in the money In 28 races.
Ha was unraced until 1945. Miami attorney Dan Chappell and his partner, Moat Rausin. picked him up at Belmont Park that Summer. Neither had ev^r aeea him run but they liked his looks.
In 1945 he started nine times and was in the money six times to win $6,735.

history," thrilled a banner crowd I here today.
Seven three-year-olds contested the mile and a furlong Everglades, but Riskolater, a $4.80 favorite from the Circle M Farm A the Edward S. Moores, simply routed his opposition in 1:51%. Michael B. was second by a head over Donna's Ace, with Reckon fourth.
The long shot double, on which 28 winning tickets were sold, was produced by Fiery Dawn, paying $79.60 in the opener, and Bud's First, a $3950 for Two Chance in the second. Hialeah's previous high double return was $1,459.20, dating back to February 4, 1936. At Tropical Park some years ago, a double paid slightly more than $7,500, which still is high for Florida. Today's attendance was 17,467.
Imperator's early speed saw him in front for a half mile or so, then he hoisted the distress signal. Donna's Ace shot into a clear advantage rounding out of the back-stretch. Michael B„ the one to force Imperator's pace, continued gamely and Riskolater rallied at the top of the home lane. Charging around the two leaders, Riskolater simply breezed clear through the last furlong.

The English duo of Dr. Gavin Hlldiek-Smith and B. W. Scott, which accounted for both English victories Tuesday, were beaten yesterday, bowing to S. V. R. Spsvuldlng, Jr., and Hard Is H. Lit tell, 15-6, 15-8, 18-15.
