IN THE BEGINNING Quarter One – Creation To Job
Adult Bible Class
2015
April - June
Lesson Three – Part Two The Book Of Genesis
4/18/2015 From Creation to Job Slide # 2
• Genesis 2:7 (NKJV) – 7 And the Lord God formed man of the
dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being. - The New King James Version. Nashville : Thomas Nelson, 1982
• MAN THE PINACLE OF GOD’S CREATION – THE GLORY OF OUR DESIGNER CAN BE
SEEN IN ALL HIS CREATION.
– ROMANS 1:18-23 --- “…. CLEARLY SEEN”
“Romans 1:18-20 (NKJV) 18 For the wrath of God is revealed
from heaven against all ungodliness
and unrighteousness of men, who
suppress the truth in
unrighteousness, 19 because what may
be known of God is manifest in
them, for God has shown it to them. 20
For since the creation of the world His
invisible attributes are clearly seen,
being understood by the things that
are made, even His eternal power and
Godhead, so that they are without
excuse,
The New King James Version.

The Glory
Of The
Designer –
Part 2
The Glory Of The Designer
• The glory of the Designer in the human body
– The human eye and the ability to see:
“To suppose that the eye with
all its inimitable contrivances
for adjusting the focus to
different distances, for
admitting different amounts of
light, and for the correction of
spherical and chromatic
aberration, could have been
formed by natural selection,
seems, I freely confess, absurd
in the highest degree.”
(Charles Darwin)
“The human eye is a truly amazing
phenomenon. Although accounting
for just one fourth-thousandth of an
adult’s weight, it is the medium which
processes some 80% of the
information received by its owner
from the outside world. The tiny retina
contains about 130 million rod-
shaped cells, which detect light
intensity and transmit impulses to the
visual cortex of the brain by means of
some one million nerve fibres, while
nearly six million cone-shaped cells
do the same job, but respond
specifically to colour variation. The
eyes can handle 500,000 messages
simultaneously, and are kept clear by
ducts producing just the right amount
of fluid with which the lids clean both
eyes simultaneously in one five-
thousandth of a second.” (Jastrow)
All parts
function
together to
make vision
possible. All
parts are
necessary for
good vision.
The design of
the eye
cannot be
improved
upon.
Designer or
coincidence?
What about inverted
vision? What about the
retina being wired
backwards? Does this
disprove design?
• Keeps light from bouncing off the back of the eye
causing a distorted image to be seen
• Has the rods and cones positioned closest to the
fluid, nutrients, oxygen, blood, etc… that they
need to function, have energy, and reproduce.
• Educated evolutionists know this and no longer
point to this as a case of poor design!
"Go to this people, and
say, You will indeed hear
but never understand,
and you will indeed see
but never perceive. For
this people's heart has
grown dull, and with
their ears they can
barely hear, and their
eyes they have closed;
lest they should see
with their eyes and hear
with their ears and
understand with their
heart and turn, and I
would heal them.”
(Acts 28:26-27)
The Glory Of The Designer
• The glory of the Designer in the human body
– The human eye and the ability to see speaks of
very intelligent design and purpose
– Our ears, from our outer ear, to our middle ear, to
our inner ear… we see design
“The ear is capable of sensory
response to sound whose
pressure at the ear drum is no
greater than two ten-
thousands of a millionth of
barometric pressure. This
pressure moves the ear drum
about one one-hundred-
millionth of an inch. That
dimension is approximately
one one-hundredth the width
of a hydrogen molecule, the
tiniest of all known molecules.
Therefore, throughout a
significant portion of the ear’s
dynamic range, it is moving in
sub-molecular dimensions.”
The Outer Ear
• Pinna – Perfectly
designed to capture
sound waves from all
directions and funnel it
through the ear canal.
• Ear Canal – Carries
sound to ear drum.
Produces wax that
prevents irritation and
fights bacteria.
• Ear Drum – Sound
waves vibrate this
membrane. These
vibrations are passed
on to the middle ear.
The Middle Ear
• Ossicles (Hammer, Anvil, and
Stirrup) – Carry vibrations to the
inner ear. Increase auditory
sensitivity, increasing hearing.
• Stapedius muscle – Controls
stirrup movement when sound is
too loud. Keeps it from vibrating
so much it damages our hearing.
• Tensor Tympani muscle –
Dampens vibrations that come off
the ear drum
The
Inner Ear
• Cochlea –
Converts the
vibes into
electrical signals
our brain can
interpret.
• Organ of Corti – Three rows of outer cells and one
row of inner cells that have microscopic hairs on them
which move as the sound is being received.
“Note how the ear converts
sound wave energy into
mechanical energy as sound
travels through the EAC,
contacts the TM, and sets the
ossicles in motion. Mechanical
energy is then converted into
hydraulic energy when the stapes
creates wave in the cochlea.
Finally, the hydraulic energy is
converted into electrical (neural)
energy with movement of the hair
cells in the cochlea. Ultimately,
this neural energy is transmitted
along the vestibulocochlear
nerve and interpreted by the
brain as sound. Such
sophistication and complexity
simply could not have evolved.”
“He who has
ears to hear, let
him hear”
- Jesus
(Mark 4:23)

1. Nucleus
2. Nuclear Envelope
3. Nucleolus
4. RNA & Proteins
5. Nucleoli
6. Chromatin
7. DNA in chromosomes
8. Smooth Endoplasmic Reticulum
9. Ribosomes
10. Rough Endoplasmic Reticulum
11. Mitochondria
12. Peroxisome
13. Centrioles
14. Golgi
15. Lysosomes
16. Cytoplasm
17. Cell Membrane
• Nucleus – Control
center of cell. Holds
DNA. Directs the cell’s
growth & reproduction.
• Ribosomes – Like fax
machines. RNA is fed
through them and a
message is sent out
that directs the cell.
• Mitochondria –
Produces the energy.
• Plasma Membrane –
Protects the cell.
Allows nutrients in and
expels waste. Has
proteins that lets cell
adjust to changes.
• Lysosomes – Breaks
down food and
processes waste

– Evolution cannot explain the breath of life, but
looking to design it makes perfect sense.
Nose - Cleans and conditions
the air. Humidifies & warms it
Bronchial System – Lined with
cilia hairs that move mucous up
and down for further filtering.
At base there is an air sac
where the mucous is dissolved.
Alveoli – The CO2 in blood is
exchanged for O2. Blood
carries that to heart & through
body. Refreshed blood drives
metabolic reactions giving life.
The CO2 diffuses into lungs and
is exhaled. The breathing
process starts over and we have
not even thought about it!
The Air Cycle –
A Perfect
Recycle System
“The God who made the
world and everything in
it, being Lord of heaven
and earth, does not live
in temples made by man,
nor is he served by
human hands, as though
he needed anything,
since he himself gives to
all mankind life and
breath and everything.”
(Acts 17:24-25)

– The placenta is discarded after its use, but even it shows perfect purpose and design
Produces hormones that change the
mother’s physiology which prepares
the uterus for the baby and causes her
to produce the nutrients & O2 needed.
Prevents the mother’s body from
rejecting the new life since it is a
“foreign object” in her system.
Placenta functions as the child’s organs
while its organs are developing. It can
even do this to the point of birth.
Detaches & is expelled at birth. The
arteries connecting it have sphincter
muscles which “tie off” the arteries,
keeping the mother from bleeding to
death. Usually only a pint is lost.
The Glory Of The Designer

– We don’t think of this as an organ, but it is… Our
skin points us toward the “Master Engineer”
Outer layer, the epidermis is
made up of 15-20 rows of dead
skin cells. The inner layer, the
dermis, is a spongy layer that is
always producing more cells to
replace what epidermis looses.
Receptors at the end of nerve
fibers in the dermis gives the
ability to feel – Necessary for
function, for feeling temperature,
and for feeling texture
Produces chemicals that absorbs UV rays from the sun and turns
it into vitamin D (bone strength). Also makes melatonin which
protects the skin from the harm of UV rays.
Protects all that is on our insides – Absorbs shock like a rubber
bumper that goes around bumper cars preventing damage.

– What about “vestigial organs?”
Vestigial Organs?
• In 1892, 180 were listed. In 1999, scientists
reduced the number 0! • Formerly defined them as organs once used in
our evolutionary past, but now no longer serve
any function and are thus useless.
• Now, they say that it is an organ that has shrunk
in size or function due to the evolutionary
process… How arbitrary and convenient!
The Appendix – Exposes immunity
cells to antigens from bacteria so
our immune system can decipher
friend from foe.
Wisdom Teeth – Issues likely due
to changes in diet and dental care.
Now no longer automatically
removed.
Coccyx – Not a remnant of a tail,
but an anchor for muscles and
tendons.
“Actually, when you consider that there are no evidences of the transitional
stages between functioning organs and useless organs, then these so-called
useless appendages would prove devolution, not evolution. Evolution is
the rise of new, different, and functioning organs, not the wasting away of already-
present, complex organs.”
