Energy Transition - Market

• Offshore wind market doubled in last 3 years to $40 billion in
CAPEX in 2020.
• Large marine contractors are now very evident in this
space.
• Offshore construction in oil & gas and wind - similar
challenges of offshore operations, DP, lifting, diving, ROV,
survey, cable laying/trenching, Engineering, Project Management
etc.
• Similar risks to be managed and safe processes to be
followed.
• IMCA is well placed to assist in this market.

Petrobras
• New government elected with a strong liberal focus willing to
"open" the country to investors
• Executive appointments (government and Petrobras) show a more
business oriented mindset
• Anticipation of 3 year schedule of areas and blocks to be
auctioned, to allow bidders to prepare • Start of a permanent offer
of blocks in fields returned by previous operators, particularly
Petrobras • Board of directors focused on acceleration investments
and the diversification of players in Brazil
• Entity promises to push for more transparency and predictability
on the licensing front…
• … which should lead to an acceleration in the environmental
licensing process
• Resolution of issues, such as the privatizations of subsidiaries
puts divestments back on track
• Divestment procedures approved by TCU
• Petrobras promotes a stronger push for divestments and increases
number of assets to be sold
• Turnaround of the company puts it in a better financial state to
make investments of its own
