A Message from Fr. Rolly… June 7, 2020 Solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity Greetings in Jesus' name to all who support us and pray for us in this time of pandemic. This weekend the Church celebrates the Solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity. As your Pastor, I would like to say something about the reopening of our church building for actual in-person worship services. Starting last Wednesday, June 3, 2020, perhaps some of the parishes around the Archdiocese of Los Angeles are already opening their doors for parishioners and visitors alike to have actual in-person worship services. As I have mentioned before in my masses streamed Live on Facebook, Archbishop Jose H. Gomez has recommended that churches can reopen at this time after submitting a Safety Plan to the Regional Bishop for approval. This plan should contain proper procedures and measures to ensure strict compliance to CDC Guidelines and Local Health Authorities' recommendations. The Archbishop reiterated that we should NOT be in a hurry to open, especially if the site still lack preparation and needed cleaning supplies necessary for maintaining a safe and healthy environment for worship. Having said that, I want you to know that Immaculate Heart of Mary Church is NOT yet ready to open her doors to the public for in-person actual worship services at this time. We are still in the process of preparing a Safety Plan and procuring all the cleaning materials to ensure that we comply with civil authorities' recommendations and health protocols. In connection with this, I would like to appeal to your kind heart and generous spirit to donate whatever DISINFECTANTS, FACE MASKS, TOWELS, SANITIZERS and other related supplies you can find, to the church. I am planning to do a DONATION DRIVE a week before our actual reopening. Kindly wait for further announcement in our Facebook Page (www.facebook.com/ihmcla) and in our Parish website for the official dates of our reopening. Again, Immaculate Heart of Mary Church IS NOT YET OPEN AT THIS TIME. Thank you so much for your kind consideration and understanding. I pray that we are able to do this properly and safely for the good of all who are going to visit our beautiful church. IT IS BETTER TO BE SAFE THAN SORRY. Let us praise and thank God in Three Person whom we call the Most Holy Trinity. Let us celebrate with joy the even in the middle of this crisis we still can worship as one family of a Trinitarian God. May the Blessed Virgin Mary intercede for our safety, guide us and protect us always.

Father Tino’s Corner... The Solemnity of the Holy Trinity Today the whole Church celebrates the great feast of the Holy Trinity. Since this is such a special holiday, as it was last week. The Trinity is the most complex and profound concept of all the teachings of the Church. If you don't fully understand the Trinity, don't worry too much because no one fully understands it. It is a great but wonderful mystery, not in the sense of a "murder mystery", but a mystery too great to be understood by mere mortals. Great because it embodies the very triune nature of God and Wonderful because it allows God to be who he is, above and beyond all creation. Can you think of something that is greater than God? Throughout the seasons of Lent and Easter we hear a lot about the Father sending His Son Jesus to earth to teach humanity how to live and then to be the sacrificial offering to atone for humanity's sins. On Pentecost Sunday, we hear about the Holy Spirit and his role in leading and guiding the People of God, the Church, towards salvation. These three people, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, are collectively called the Holy Trinity; however, they are all within the One True God. So it is a mystery. Simple mortals can only "see" it from the point of view human and not from the divine point of view, and that's probably a good thing. Do you really want to understand everything about God and humanity? Maybe we will one day. In the Mass Readings for this Feast, we honor the three Persons of God. From the Book of Exodus we hear that the Father gave the Law, the Ten Commandments, to Moses. In the Book of Wisdom and Proverbs we read where the "Spirit of Wisdom", who is generally considered the Holy Spirit, is with the Father in the event of the creation of the world. From the Book of Daniel in the Responsorial Psalm we hear the praises of the Father for his creation, who gave birth to the Son of Man, Jesus Christ. Finally in the Second Reading and the Gospel, we again have the three Divine Persons represented. So where do you and I fit into this picture? We are the reason that: All creation by the Father, the Life, Death and Resurrection of the Son, together with the guidance of the Holy Spirit, came true. All this was given to the humanity for the divine love of God so that He could share with humanity the only part of creation made in the "image and likeness" of God that can respond to Him in his love. Are you responding? This great holiday and this great mystery should not overlook yourself without thinking a little about your relationship with the Trinity.

Don’t be afraid to start a conversation about COVID-19 with your children

If possible, choose a time when your children are likely to

want to talk, perhaps at dinner. Ask what they already know and what questions and concerns they have about COVID-19. Everyone reacts differently, but your children’s questions can

guide your discussion. Listen and answer their questions with facts in a way that they can understand. If you don’t know the

answer to a question, be honest. Let them know that there are a lot of rumors and false information and that you’ll help them learn the facts. If it’s appropriate for their age, you can show

them how to search for the answer on a reliable website. Best places to learn about COVID-19 are the Centers for

Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the World Health

resume public Masses.

Masses at IHM Church

In person Masses, will only resume until all necessary requirements given to us by the Archbishop of Los Angeles,

are met and the personal master plan required for our Church has been approved by our Regional Bishop,

Edward Clark.

We will continue to live-stream our Masses on Facebook, for seniors, people that are ill and all those wish to stay home

during this pandemic.

There will be a limited capacity of parishioners allowed to enter the church for each Mass in order

to respect social distancing. Proper cleaning protocols will be in place.

A face mask will be mandatory. NO exceptions will be made.

We will provide more information as we have it.

We would like to thank everybody for their

patience and understanding during this process.

With Immaculate Mary’s “Ave Maria” for its refrain, Andy Williams’ “Village of Saint Bernadette” peaked at #7 on Billboard’s Top 40 at

Christmas 1959, airing on radio stations all over America. Imagine! April 16 marks the feast of Bernardette

Soubirous, the teenager who, combing a refuse heap for firewood, saw a “beautiful lady” who identified herself in words Bernadette faithfully reported to the bishop,

though she did not understand their meaning: “I am the Immaculate Conception.” Relentlessly interrogated, she never wavered in her story or

sweetness. Chronically ill all her life and dead at thirty-five, Bernadette left behind the shrine at Lourdes

where healing waters still flow from the spring that her “beautiful lady” pointed out to her.

GRACE AND ETERNAL LIFE

Moses is a man after our own hearts, for haven’t we all dealt with more than our share

of stiff-necked people? Indeed, haven’t we all gotten a little stiff-necked ourselves at times? Complaining . . . impatient . . . quick to anger.

How lucky for Moses—how lucky for all of us—that God is exactly the opposite! And we

don’t even have to guess about it.

The Lord tells us so directly. Accordingly, Moses does what we all need to do. Even

with the tablets in hand, he bows down and asks for God’s forgiveness and grace.

Encouraging us to live together in peace—and

in God’s favor—the Apostle Paul knows all about this grace, joyfully invoking Christ’s

grace on us along with God’s love and the Holy Spirit’s. “Rejoice,” he says. And when it comes

to rejoicing, John offers us the gladdest

7 de junio de 2020 Solemnidad de la Santísima Trinidad Saludos en el nombre de Jesús a todos los que nos apoyan y oran por nosotros en este momento de pandemia. Este fin de semana la Iglesia celebra la solemnidad de la Santísima Trinidad. Como su pastor, me gustaría decir algo sobre la reapertura de nuestro edificio de la iglesia para los servicios de adoración y las misas en persona. A partir del pasado miércoles 3 de junio de 2020, quizás algunas de las parroquias alrededor de la Arquidiócesis de Los Ángeles ya están abriendo sus puertas para que feligreses y visitantes tengan servicios de adoración en persona. Como mencioné antes en mis misas transmitidas en vivo por Facebook, el arzobispo José H. Gómez ha recomendado que las iglesias puedan ya reabrir en este momento después de presentar un Plan de seguridad al Obispo regional para su aprobación. Este plan debe contener procedimientos y medidas adecuados para garantizar el estricto cumplimiento de las direcciones de los CDC y las recomendaciones de las Autoridades de Salud Local. El arzobispo reiteró que NO debemos tener prisa por abrir, especialmente si el sitio aún carece de preparación y necesita los suministros de limpieza necesarios para mantener un ambiente seguro y saludable para la adoración. Dicho esto, quiero que sepan que la Iglesia del Inmaculado Corazón de María todavía no está lista para abrir sus puertas al público para los servicios de adoración en persona en este momento. Todavía estamos en el proceso de preparar un Plan de Seguridad y adquirir todos los materiales de limpieza para asegurarnos de cumplir con las recomendaciones de las autoridades civiles y los protocolos de salud. En relación con esto, me gustaría apelar a su amable corazón y espíritu generoso para donar a la iglesia cualquier DESINFECTANTE EN LIQUIDO Y DE MANOS, MÁSCARILLAS, TOALLAS DESTINFECTANTES, y otros suministros relacionados que pueda encontrar. Estoy planeando hacer un evento de DONACIÓN una semana antes de nuestra reapertura real. Espere un nuevo anuncio en nuestra página de Facebook (www.facebook.com/ihmcla) y en el sitio web de nuestra parroquia para conocer las fechas oficiales de nuestra reapertura. Nuevamente, la Iglesia del Inmaculado Corazón de María NO ESTÁ ABIERTA EN ESTE MOMENTO. Muchas gracias por su amable consideración y comprensión. Oro para que podamos hacer esto de manera adecuada y segura por el bien de todos los que van a visitar nuestra hermosa iglesia. ES MEJOR ESTAR SEGURO A NO ESTARLO. Mensaje de Padre Tino... La Solemnidad de la Santísima Trinidad

Hoy toda la Iglesia celebra la gran fiesta de la Santísima Trinidad. Como este es un día de fiesta tan especial, como lo

hicimos la semana pasada.

La Trinidad es el concepto más complejo y profundo de todas

las enseñanzas de la Iglesia. Si no comprende completamente la

Trinidad, no se preocupe demasiado porque nadie la comprende completamente. Es un misterio grande pero maravilloso, no en el sentido de un "misterio de

asesinato", sino un misterio demasiado grande para ser entendido por los simples mortales.

Grande porque encarna la naturaleza muy trina de Dios y Maravilloso porque le permite a Dios ser quien es, lo que está por encima y más allá de toda creación. ¿Puedes pensar en algo

que sea más grande que Dios?

A lo largo de las temporadas de Cuaresma y Pascua escuchamos mucho acerca del Padre

enviando a Su Hijo Jesús a la tierra para enseñar a la humanidad cómo vivir y luego ser la

ofrenda sacrificial para expiar los pecados de la humanidad. El domingo de Pentecostés escuchamos acerca del Espíritu Santo y su papel en la dirección y guía del Pueblo de Dios,

la Iglesia, hacia la salvación. Estas tres personas, Padre, Hijo y Espíritu Santo, colectivamente

se llaman la Santísima Trinidad; sin embargo, todos están dentro del Único Dios Verdadero. Por eso es un misterio. Los simples mortales solo podemos "verlo" desde el punto de vista

humano y no desde el punto de vista divino, y eso es probablemente algo bueno. ¿Realmente

quieres entender todo sobre Dios y la humanidad? Quizás lo hagamos algún día.

En las Lecturas en la Misa para esta Fiesta, honramos a las tres Personas de Dios. Del Libro

del Éxodo escuchamos que el Padre le dio la Ley, los Diez Mandamientos, a Moisés. En el Libro de la Sabiduría y Proverbios leemos donde el "Espíritu de Sabiduría", que generalmente

se considera el Espíritu Santo, está con el Padre en el evento de la creación del mundo. Del

Libro de Daniel en el Salmo Responsorial nosotros escuche las alabanzas del Padre por su creación, que dio a luz al Hijo del Hombre, Jesucristo. Finalmente en la Segunda Lectura y el

Evangelio, nuevamente tenemos a las tres Personas Divinas representadas. Entonces, ¿dónde

encajamos usted y yo en esta imagen?

Somos la razón que: Toda la creación por el Padre, la Vida, Muerte y Resurrección del Hijo,

junto con la guía del Espíritu Santo se hicieron realidad. Todo esto fue regalado a la humanidad por el amor divino de Dios para que Él pudiera compartir con la humanidad, la

única parte de la creación hecha a la "imagen y semejanza" de Dios que puede responderle

en su amor. ¿Estás respondiendo? Este gran día de fiesta y este gran misterio no deberían pasarse por alto sin pensar un poco en su relación con la Trinidad.

No tenga temor de empezar una conversación Sobre COVID-19 con sus hijos

Si es posible, escoja un momento cuando sus hijos quieran platicar, quizá durante la cena. Pregúnteles sobre lo que ellos ya saben y qué preguntas y preocupaciones tienen sobre el

COVID-19. Cada uno reacciona de distinta manera, pero las preguntas de sus hijos puede guiar la discusión. Escuche y

responda las preguntas con hechos, en una forma en que ellos

entiendan. Si usted no sabe la respuesta a las preguntas, sea honesto/a. Déjeles saber que hay muchos rumores

e información falsa y que usted les ayudará a conocer los hechos. Si es apropiado para la edad de sus hijos, también

puede mostrarles cómo buscar las respuestas en un sitio web

confiable. Los mejores lugares para aprender sobre el COVID-19 son los Centros de Control y Prevención de

Misas en Inmaculado Corazon de Maria

Las misas en persona, solo se reanudarán hasta que sea necesario los requisitos que nos dio el Arzobispo de

Los Ángeles se cumplen y el plan maestro personalizado para la parroquia requerido haya sido aprobado por nuestro

Obispo regional, Edward Clark.

Continuaremos transmitiendo en vivo nuestras Misas en Facebook, para personas mayores, personas enfermas y todos aquellos que deseen quedarse en casa durante esta pandemia.

Habrá una capacidad limitada de feligreses que se les permitira ingresar a la iglesia por cada misa con el fin

de respetar el distanciamiento social. Limpieza adecuada y protocolos estarán en lugar.

Una mascarilla será obligatoria. No se harán excepciones.

Proporcionaremos más información tal como la tenemos.

Festividad: 9 de junio

Nació en la actual

Turquía, hijo de un

sacerdote pagano y de

madre cristiana. Desde

muy pequeño mostró un

temperamento explosivo,

mismo que aprendió a

controlar. Siendo muy joven se hizo bautizar y

posteriormente fue ordenado diácono. Su

ministerio estuvo dedicado a la enseñanza de

la fe, pues era un gran maestro. Su obispo,

notando sus cualidades cristianas y humanas,

quiso ordenarlo sacerdote, pero Efrén se opuso

pues consideraba el sacerdocio como algo

indigno para él. Como diácono y maestro

difundió la enseñanza cristiana con cualidades

extraordinarias de escritor, haciendo uso de la

poesía, los cantos religiosos o bien, parodiando

la letra de los cantos populares de su tiempo

para no sólo rebatir las herejías cristianas, sino

también, para propagar las enseñanzas de

Cristo. La historia lo distingue con el mote de

“La cítara del Espíritu Santo”. Con su poesía

fue fundador de una escuela teológica. Pese a

que no hablaba el griego, fue audaz en su

idioma, escribiendo poemas dedicados a María,

Madre de Dios. Sus escritos y misticismo hicieron

GRACIA Y VIDA ETERNA

Moisés es un hombre como nosotros, ¿acaso no hemos tratado también con cabezas duras? De hecho, ¿acaso no hemos sido

nosotros mismos los cabezas duras? Quejumbrosos. . . impacientes. . . rápidos para enojarnos. ¡Qué suerte la de Moisés y

qué suerte la nuestra que Dios es precisamente lo opuesto! Y ni

siquiera tenemos que adivinarlo. El Señor nos lo dice directamente. Y en concordancia, Moisés hace lo que todos necesitamos hacer.

Pese a tener las tablas en las manos, se postra y pide el perdón y la

gracia de Dios. Alentándonos a vivir juntos en paz y con el favor de Dios, el apóstol Pablo sabe de esta gracia, e invoca con alegría la

gracia del amor de Dios y del Espíritu Santo sobre nosotros. “Estén alegres”, dice. Y cuando se trata de alegrarnos, Juan nos ofrece las palabras más regocijantes: la seguridad de la vida eterna en Jesús.
