This evergreen woodland Rainforest infrastructure, distinguished by a continuous leaf canopy interwoven into to tropical forest layers, covers over 3.7 million square miles. Forests are one of Earth’s oldest continuous ecosystems and play a significant part in the health of our global environment by digesting and converting carbon dioxide into oxygen. Forests have a very small cumulative percentage of overall topography worldwide, yet they hold the highest number of plant and animal species in the world by far. Tropical Forests are home to an estimated 50 to 70 million different unique life organisms. Forests in Pakistan are 3.7% of the total land, which is divided as 3.8% in Punjab, 2.7% in Sindh, 4.2% in Baluchistan and 15.6% in Khyber pakhtoonkhwa. This percentage is minute compared to the desired 25%. I am a tree, the forest in which I am living used to be a very large and thick but with the increase in population and growth of industries; we become the victims. Some cut us for acquiring land while other made us the burning fuel of industries. The sun rays used to fight with us in order to reach the ground and we used to absorb the harm effects from those rays. Due to the decrease in our number we have grown weak and these rays are now burning our roots.

Forests have been the friends of humans from the very start. The wood that is attained from the forest is not only used in making sports good, furniture but it also serves as a fuel for running industries.

The roots of trees compact the ground and make it hard to washout with rain and flood. More than two thousand people have been killed in Pakistan by land sliding and floods due to the decrease in forests and trees.

Forests are home to more than two-thirds of all animals, birds and other creators and the decrease in forest is also a serious threat to the ecosystem of them as well. Biologists have estimated that on average more than 50,000 animals are being driven to extinction each year.

Forests play a vital role in decreasing the pollution and they produce oxygen which is 21% of the air we breathe. Decrease in this percentage can have serious consequences on the humans. Rainforests supply 28% of the world’s oxygen, processing it through photosynthesis from carbon dioxide. Forests are also important for raining. This rain water not only increases the level of underground fresh water reservoirs but it also completes the necessity of water for agriculture. These forests also decrease the strengths of storms, these storms result in the death of large number of people each year all over the world.

It has been estimated that many hundreds of millions of species of plants, insects and microorganisms are still undiscovered. Tropical rainforests have been called the "jewels of the Earth," and the "world's largest pharmacy," because of the large number of natural medicines discovered there.

I am a daughter tree, small and young. My Father tree has become the victim of increase in the lust of humans. Can you be brave enough to protect me, my brother and mother trees? My family is on the verge of devastation. Consider yourself in my place, after all that we did for humans, should I deserve to be killed? Should this be the product of my friendship with human?
