iLED University 2016 (July – November)

Introduction iLED University will resume July and its time again to brush up those skills and get the knowledge you

need to be a successful systems integrator! Book to attend one of our scheduled courses, or

alternatively book for a 1-on-1 training course for that personal touch.

General Stuff All Scheduled AV/Residential/Commercial training for 3 to

12 individuals over either 1 or 2 days at a cost of R500.00

Excl. VAT per person per course.

1-on-1 training available between scheduled courses by

appointment only, caters for 1 to 4 individuals at an

increased price compared to scheduled training courses.

Cost R1000 Excl. VAT per person per course.

Building Management Systems (BMS) Courses are

designed for 2 to 6 individuals usually over 5 days at a

cost of R10,000.00 Excl. VAT. per person. This cost does

not include the cost of any licenses (should they be

required).

Payments for training are to be made in advance.

Cancellations are accepted up to 48 hours before training,

after which deposits cannot be returned.

We reserve the right to cancel training should we not have the minimum number of

registrations.

Course Content – Residential and Commercial AV

IP Networking with Niveo Professional We will be covering the basics of IP networking (Ethernet & Wi-Fi) with

an intense (much coffee will be supplied) theory workshop to get you

equipped with everything you need for residential CI (similar to the

equivalent CEDIA course), as well as a brief look at our own range of enterprise

grade networking equipment to help you install powerful and reliable networks as the foundation of

CCTV, control, connectivity and multimedia.

BitWise Controls This course, presented over two days will cover the basics of Home

Automation & Control as well as qualification/certification training on

the range of BitWise Controllers and Apps. Learn to control any residential or commercial AV,

lighting, security or just about anything else from a smart device (iOS/Android) using the power and

flexibility of BitWise.

Introduction to Residential Audio Distribution Systems Distributed Audio is the core of what we do in Custom Install. Learn about the basics

of Distributed Audio systems with the ezi Controls DA-66/DA-64. We will be covering

theory from understanding speaker runs (cable types/thicknesses) up to IR pass-

through, speaker types and placements. We will also learn about the ezi Controls

multi-room audio system. If you do audio, you NEED to do this course.

WyreStorm HD Distribution In this course we will be covering all the knowledge required to

design, install, commission, configure and troubleshoot WyreStorm

HD video distribution and control products. We will be covering

extenders, matrices, Network HD and basic video distribution concepts.

WyreStorm Control with Enado We will be learning about the easiest control system to implement in the

world. Be in and out with WyreStorm’s 20-minute Enado configuration

wizard, where you can control anything AV (TV, DSTV, Audio & Video

Distribution Systems, Lighting etc.) from 1 room up to 100 (and beyond!).

Truly platform independent, Enado’s HTML5 user interface requires no App, and can be run on

anything from a PC to a Blackberry.

Rako Controls – Lighting The course covers product knowledge and hands on training. This will allow you to

commission any Rako wired or wireless system as well as integrate the free iOS

and Android App. Use Rako to control and automate lighting, irrigation etc. saving

time, money and energy.

Commercial Audio with Apart Apart Audio -designed in Belgium- offers a complete range of high quality in-door

and out-door commercial loudspeakers; as well as a full range of electronics for

the contractor market with emphasis on installed commercial sound. The course

content will cover the full product range and its applications, as well as practical

designs and their implementation. The course includes a technical overview

(including programming) of the AudioControl 12.8 as well as the EASE audio

simulation software.

Cleerline Fibre We would like to introduce you to the beginning of the future of

HD Video distribution using Fibre. No longer are distance, lightning

or bandwidth a concern as fibre makes CAT look like a piece of

string! Using the Cleerline Fibre, you can safely splice connections in a matter of minutes with

repeatable, reliable results. The course covers background knowledge on fibre and HD video

distribution over fibre, product knowledge, hands on training and certification.

Introduction to Residential Control Systems with BitWise, Global Cache and Enado Want to learn the basics of AV control? Then this is the course for you. We will be

learning how to control AV type devices (TV’s, BluRay players, DSTV etc.) as well as

lighting control systems from the basics. Perfect for beginners, no previous

experience required. We will be using Global Cache as well as Enado to implement

the control concepts that are learned.

Course Content – Building Management Systems Distech Controls EC-Net AX Course #5001 iLED University will be providing a complete 5 day Niagara AX Certification training

using Distech Control’s EC-Net AX. Learn everything you need to implement a multi-platform, multi-

protocol supervision, monitoring and user interface for your BMS applications.

Distech Controls EC-gfxProgram Course #6501 iLED University will present a 5-day Controls Course covering the Distech Controls

range of controllers. Content includes understanding the complete controls product

range (BACnet & LON) as well as the ECLYPSE IP Connected System Controller. A comprehensive

practical training on the EC-gfxProgram graphical programming tool will take place. We will also

learn ENVYSION, Distech Control’s HTML5 based responsive User Interface for ECLYPSE & AX.

Distech Controls ECLYPSE/ENVYSION Course #8001 iLED University will present a 2-day Controls Course covering

Distech Control’s ECLYPSE and ENVYSION. We will learn the key-

concepts of the ECLYPSE IP-Connected controllers as well as applications thereof (from standalone to

complete connected systems). We will also introduce ENVYSION, the web-based graphic design and

visualization interface, where we will create and illustrate graphical representations of our gfx

programming.
