    After he dropped out of college, he attended

    calligraphy classes out of curiosity. Later, this

    helped him develop the Fonts typography

    used in computers today. He believes that

    nothing that you learn will go to waste. One

    just needs to have the vision to put it to

    practical use.

    He motivates his people by creating acompelling vision. For example, When Steve

    Jobs was recruiting John Sculley, then a VP at

    Pepsi, to be the CEO of Apple, he asked, "Doyou want to sell sugar water or change theworld?" Sculley rose to the challenge. Mostpeople will too, if they are challenged to have

    loftier goals.

    The NeXTSTEP

    Around 1985, he was forced to resign from Apple.

    Founded a computer company called NeXT, underwhich the NeXTSTEP software was designed.

    In 1996, Apple bought NeXT to use the newsoftware in place of the old MacOS.

    Jobs returned to Apple.

    In 1996 when Steve Jobs became CEO, Apple was in need offunds. He went to Microsoft and talked to Bill Gates aboutMicrosoft using ideas from Apple. He decided that Gates

    should develop a Mac-compatible Windows version and inreturn, he would develop an Internet browser for Windows,which is now the famous Internet Explorer.

    side of the window, so that one has exercise

    the right side of the brain while using them.

    Apple's stocks - from bearish to bullish

    Jobs first criticized Dell for making "un-innovativebeige boxes.

    October,1997 : Michael Dell was asked what he woulddo if he owned then-troubled Apple Computer, he said"I'd shut it down and give the money back to theshareholders.

    November, 1997 : Steve Jobs spoke in front of an imageof Michael Dell under a big bulls-eye and stated:"We're coming after you, you're in our sights."

    2006 : To motivate, SteveJobs sent an email to allemployees when Apple'smarket capitalization rose

    above Dell's. The emailread:

    Team, it turned out thatMichael Dell wasn't perfectat predicting the future.Based on today's stock

    market close, Apple isworth more than Dell.Stocks go up and down,and things may be differenttomorrow, but I thought itwas worth a moment of
