Welcome to the crossroads of cultures. Bosnia and Herzegovina is one of the most diverse countriesin the world, despite having the area of only 51,197square kilometers. Although it’s relatively small insize, it’s combination of Alpine, Pannonic and Mediterranean climates and rich cultural heritage inheritedfrom six historic civilisations make Bosnia and Herzegovinaone of the most diverse environments in the whole world.

Mostar is no different. This city is most famous for itslandmarks the Old brige and Old town, (dating from 16thcentury), mild Mediterranean climate, and emerald riverNeretva which divides the city. Visiting Mostar guarantees aunique experience of multiculturality, friendliness andhospitability but also easy-going Herzegovinian lifestyle.

about project

In Bosnia and Herzegovina, youth unemployment rate is65%. One of the key reasons fot this is that oureducational system fails when it comes to providingguidelines for career development. Consequently, a lot ofhigh school students are poorly informed and thus chosefaculties and professions where supply exceeds demand(such as Economy or Law studies), instead of pursuing acareer in deficitary professions such as IT sector.

You are here to help change that and bring balance to ouruniversity system, teach students to prepare, present anddevelop their own projects that will make an impact onsociety. This will be delivered through weekly workshopsthat will engage students to change themselves and theirlocal community in a positive way. The project itself will be held from March 16th to April24th.

job descriptions

1 The intern will have to participate in an education thatwill occur during IPS and is organized by the hosting entityon how to prepare interesting, interactive and impactfulworkshops for the students. The interns will get the requiredknowledge that will be needed during the project, but alsovery useful in the future.

2. The interns will have to prepare a presentation abouttheir country to inform the students of their culture,customs, what it is like to be a young person/student intheir country.

3. The interns will have to prepare a presentation on thework market in Bosnia & Herzegovina, to inform students onwhichprofessions are needed which there is surplus of.

4. The interns will have to prepare a workshop on projectplanning. How to write, prepare and execute a project, howto lead a team.

5. The interns will have to prepare a workshop on publicspeaking. How to make and hold presentations, how to keepthe attention of the audience.
