A SKILLS TRANSFER MODEL TO EMPOWER THE PEOPLE
Empowering people in rural Africa by transferring skills to them that enable them to win programs that they then control and administer thereby ensuring that the value stays with them.
In the centre, iEmpowerment provides a technology platform to distribute educational and health care content, aid in skills development, teach people how to be entrepreneurial, enable mentorship collect data and extend health care
People learn how to write proposals to get support for community programs, to distribute the educational and health care information, do field based data collection, become entrepreneurial and empower others.

IEmpowerment’s CEO, Pat Montani, M.S.M., previously founded Bicycles for Humanity which has delivered over 150,000 bicycles, to eleven countries, in sub-Saharan Africa and trained technicians to maintain the Bicycles. Built on this base, local communities have built self-sustained, local businesses maintaining and selling bicycles.
Value of bicycles went to the people

Entrepreneurialism flourished, expanding opportunity
B4H® developed a sustainable Business Model:
Bikes, collected in developed world, are delivered in containers.
Local labour turns the containers into bike shops
Local technicians are trained to maintain the bicycles.
The bikes are given away or sold to raise the money to enable the bike shop to stock spares and maintain the bikes.
This program has been successful for over 12 years. Multiple, sustainable, local bicycle businesses have been started with
tremendous benefits to the local economy
