Policy on .my Domain Name Registration• Appointed by MCMC under section 181 (1) CMA 1998

• To manage and maintain an integrated electronic address database• First-come-first-serve:-

• Open categories of “.com.my”, “.net.my”, “.org.my”, “name.my” and “.my”• Through 62 Resellers • Provide relevant supporting documents to Resellers

• Rules on Choice of Domain Names:-• Must not contain Country or State Names in English or Bahasa Malaysia

equivalent• Must not contain words “bank” or “finance company” (BAFIA 1987)• Prohibited Domain Names

• Sensitive to the main religions in Malaysia • Obscene, scandalous, indecent, offensive or contrary to Malaysian public norms
