The founder of IDawn Technologies, Tharindu started off
working in the IT Field in 2002 at the age of 16 as a
Developer/Tester for a small Web Design Company called
XeonT Technologies. In 2004, upon graduation from school
after completing a Diploma for the International
Baccalaureate (http://www.ibo.org), Tharindu founded
IDawn Technologies, and continued doing Web and
Software Development for clients in Sri Lanka and abroad as
a freelancer for other larger IT Companies. January of 2005
marked the commencement of his University Education, at
which point the IDawn Technologies brand name was first
put in to use when we started working directly for clients in
New York. This was also the time when there was a paradigm
shift in the Core Business and we moved away from being a
one man Web Design outfit to a fully fledged IT Services
Provider.
While in New York, Tharindu worked as an IT Support
Technician at the State University of New York – Cobleskill
(SUNY Cobleskill) Campus, and was promoted within 4
months to Helpdesk Manager. As Helpdesk Manager, he was
responsible for overseeing IT Support for over 3500 Users
including the Students, Faculty, Staff, and Administration at
SUNY Cobleskill. In addition to these day-to-day operations,
he was also responsible for the testing and Implementation
of several new systems including a new Helpdesk
Management and Ticketing System, a Virtual Desktop
Infrastructure for the use of Students, and a Campus Wide
Computer Imaging and Cloning System, being some of the
bigger projects that were directly under him.
In addition to this Primary Role as Helpdesk Manager, he was
also the Assistant to the Head of Academic Computing from
May of 2009 till January 2010. Under this capacity, he was
responsible for configuring an Academic Network with over
50 Rack Mount Servers for use by students in a 400 Level
Networking Class. This class was designed and taught by him
and focused on Internetwork Routing, Virtualization, and
Windows Server 2003 R2 Systems Administration including
Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Distributed File Services, and
etcetera. This class was used as the Capstone Class for the
December 2010 graduating Network Administration Class of
SUNY Cobleskill.
After returning to Sri Lanka in January of 2010, Tharindu
rebooted IDawn Technologies back up, and started doing IT
Infrastructure Projects exclusively as of March 2010. Since
then, IDawn Technologies has boomed, boasting of over 200
Projects across more than 100 Satisfied Clients who are Major
Players in the Sri Lanka market such as The Capital Maharaja
Organization, Siedles PVT LTD, Anything.lk, The National Water
Supply and Drainage Board, and The University of Moratuwa
to name a few.

Pavithri started out her career working as a part-time
assistant to the Managing Director of an
Ophthalmology Retailer and helped devise various
processes to further efficiency and productivity in the
workplace prior to her induction into university to follow
a Bachelor of Science degree, majoring in Business and
Information Technology.
Upon her joining university, she held the position of
Computer Lab Technician at campus, working with the
IT Team to maintain and manage the Computer Lab,s
and Server Room with troubleshooting, maintenance,
administration and other capacities. In the final year of
her degree, she worked as Researcher in carrying out
Market, Product And Competitor Research, as well as
Trend Analysis and Lead Generation across various
industries for a Sweden based Research firm, then
known as Convenient.Info.
Upon graduation, she joined eMarketingEye as an
Online Marketing Executive where her duties entailed
Search Engine Optimisation, Search Engine Marketing
and Pay-Per-Click across various Search Engines such
as Google, MSN, Yahoo, Reporting of Marketing
Campaign reports which included SEO, SEM, PPC &
Budget Reports for clientele such as the Taj Group of
Hotels, Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts, and Millenium &
Copthorne Hotels, Creative Writing, Link Building as well
as was the Project Co-Manager in the management
and development of TrulySriLanka.com, a travel portal.
Upon leaving eMarketingEye, she worked at Reckitt
Benckiser Lanka, the Sri Lankan wing of the Global
Reckitt Benckiser FMCG Company, and underwent
training in Finance, Supply, Marketing, and Sales
necessary for an FMCG company, and worked closely
in brand management and sales techniques to further
facilitate customer reach and trade promotions. During
this time, her team carried out audits in the top 20%
profit contributing distributors of Reckitt Benckiser
Lanka. She then moved onto Brandix Lanka, an End-to-
End Apparel Retail Provider, and trained under
Marketing Management team for Marks & Spencer, in
the Textiles Department and worked closely with
Product Development.
Currently, Pavithri holds the capacity of Director of
Marketing and Sales, whereby she undertakes roles in
the capacity of Sales and Marketing Management,
Business Development, Strategic Planning, Graphic &
Website Design and Development, Internet Marketing,
and Administration.

Reshmaal worked in various part time management
positions while in New York to supplement his University
Education. At the time of graduation, his academic
qualifications and management experience qualified
him for an apprentice position with the Center for
Disease Control under the direct supervision of the then
New York State Wildlife Pathologist, Dr. Ward B. Stone.
He conducted extensive research and statistical
analysis on Lead Paint Contamination in imported
children’s toys and played a role in the design of a low
cost, versatile spot test that may be used to identify
contamination quickly and efficiently.
He also acted as liaison between The Five Rivers
Environmental Education Center, Delmar, New York
and The White House to lobby on behalf of Lead Paint
Regulation and was honored with a signed response
from then presidential candidate Barack Obama.
Upon his return to Sri Lanka in 2010, he was employed
by Jetwing Hotels as a Junior Executive and gained
valuable experience in managing a diverse cadre of
motivated, young professionals while focusing on Public
Relations, Guest Relation and overall Guest Satisfaction.
Reshmaal joined IDawn Technologies in 2012 and is at
present Director of Operations and focused on the
design and implementation of a process driven,
procedural framework to streamline day-to-day
operations and maximize efficiency and productivity.

Birunthaban started off working as a trainee at CellCity
Lanka Pvt Ltd from October 2010 to January 2011.
While at Conventry University, he was awarded best
performance for Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) in
Electrical and Electronic Engineering. He has
successfully researched and completed “Computer
Controlled Multifunctional Wireless Robot” as Final year
project in 2012.
After completing his Bachelor degree, he joined IDawn
Technologies in February 2013, and started working in
the capacity of Electrical Systems Design, Project
Management, and Quality/Standards Assurance. In
this capacity, Birun ensures that all IDawn Technologies’
Electrical Installations comply with International and
Local Standards, in terms of Cabling, and Protection
Devices.
A key component of his responsibilities also involves the
Design and Installation of Electrical Distribution Boards
under the close supervision of our Chairman, Tharindu
who has multiple years of industry experience this field.

expanding his knowledge of

Manjo De Alwis
Manoj is the most recent
addition to our Senior
Technical Team, with IDawn
Technologies recruiting him
fresh after his return from
Afghanistan. During his time
in Afghanistan he worked as
a Sub Contractor for the U.S.
Military in their Kandahar
Base laying a massive Fiber
Optic Infrastructure for
Military use.

Angelo is also an expert in

He is currently under training

Lilantha (addressed by
everyone as “Nilantha”) is
IDawn Technologies’ oldest
serving Network Technician.
Nilantha has a colorful past
with experience in multiple
fields including Audio/Video
Installation and Control,
Electric Welding and
Construction, as well as
experience with Air
Conditioner Installation and
Servicing.
Nilantha’s area of expertise
focuses on Data and Voice
Networks, including Copper
and Fiber Optic Cabling and
