CONFERENCE & SUMMIT BACKGROUND

The correlation between research, innovation and performance of economies appears to be positive and governments world over are focusing on startup ecosystems for accelerating economic growth. Innovation and Startup is one of the prime focus areas of Government of India too and policies and structures are being put in place to accelerate innovations and startup creation to capitalize on the demographic dividend that India has accrued and the resultant robustness of the risk-taking propensity. India has built up technical competence and expertise for relevant frugal innovations. India has improved its ranking in the Global Innovation Ranking by 29 positions in the last four years. And that India could emerge as a Startup Hub in the region is the probability being visualized.

Despite research, innovation, startup creation and investment being interdependent, aptitude required to be successful in each domain are different and consequently interaction between the stakeholders is minimal at best.

Inspired by the vision of Shri Khodidas bhai Patel, the founder and president of the university and actualizing his philosophy of industrialization, the KS Patel Centre for Entrepreneurship of RK University is attempting to bring together researchers, innovators, startups and investors in an endeavour to precipitate a robust ecosystem.

The conference including a doctoral research track would explore nuances sub themes like Startup led economic development/acceleration, frugal Innovation for Startups and raising low cost funds whereas the summit would offer a platform to showcase innovations of the startups, acquire some visibility in the relevant publics and possibly attract investment. It would also offer an opportunity to acquire some relevant skills/ knowledge in the concurrent workshops. Keeping in mind the focus of Govt. of India, a doctoral track on innovation and startup research and startup & innovation policy research track suggestion would be the conference highlight, a faculty startup pavilion envisaged at the summit promises to be the piece de resistance of the event where as a pitching session for startups seeking investments would be the climax of the summit.

We invite research papers that discuss nuances of Innovation, Startups and Investments . This international conference provides opportunities to the participants to present their research papers and startup projects before global audience.
