Fly to Reykjavik. On arrival your private guide will be waiting to transfer you to the Blue Lagoon (@ 20 mins), Iceland’s most famousattraction.

Enjoy bathing and relaxing in the geothermal seawater, known for its positive effects on the skin. Relax and swim in water as hot as a bathand remember to try some of the Silica Mud on your face! In addition to bathing there is a sauna with a view of the lagoon, a steam bath withwhite walls that resemble silica mud, and a cosy steam bath carved into a lava cave (entrance fee is not included).

The guide will wait for you 3 hours before taking you to the Skalakot Manor Hotel (@ 2 hrs) to overnight.

This boutique hotel only has 14 bedrooms and if available we would recommend the Master Suite which has its own fireplace to relax in frontof. A super romantic way to settle into your trip.

Remember to keep an eye out for the Northern Lights as you are in a wonderful area on farmland with no artificial lights to spoil any display.

DAY 2Private Super Jeep tour of Porsmork & Glacier Snowmobiling, Private Northern LightsHunt

After breakfast adventure out into the unique landscapes of South Iceland – probably the most dramatic Geography field trip you will everexperience!

We work only with local guides who are both passionate about their country and want to share their insights with you but who are also trainedas part of the mountain rescue team. They will have fascinating stories to share about the volcanic eruption that occurred in 2010.

We continually receive fabulous feedback on this day from satisfied clients who enjoy this personalised, relaxed guided day experience fromenthusiastic local guides who are keen you have an extra special experience. And this feedback is from people who have shared theirsuperjeep with others, but you will have this day totally PRIVATE TO YOU so it is going to be even better!

Your guide will take you up between the three glaciers; Myrdalsjokull, Eyjafjallojokull and Tindfjallojokull. In your specially adaptedSuperJeeps you will have the thrilling drive of fjording glacial rivers and driving across the flood plain to see the lasting effects and landscapechanges following Eyjafjallajökull’s 2010 eruption. You will be surrounded by an imposing mountain ridge and see spectacular landscapes.

The SuperJeep will continue to go on rough tracks up to the Snowline of the Eyjafjallajökull glacier to take an exhilarating 1 hour’ssnowmobile ride with superb views back down to the Atlantic Coast. While the south is certainly spectacular from “below” nothing beatsexperiencing it from “above”! Snowmobiling on top of Eyjafjallajökull glacier is an extraordinary experience.

This snowmobile tour is the perfect length of time for first-time riders and individuals looking for a scenic, fun ride, exploring and experiencingthe wilderness, the glacier and the breathtaking views over South Iceland in good weather.

You will snowmobile for about an hour on a shared snowmobile, but don’t worry there will be time to swap so you both get the chance todrive.

After dinner (not included) in your SuperJeep your guide will take you off-road to the back of the famed Mount Helka to try and see if you canfind the Northern Lights on your PRIVATE Northern Lights Hunt. This volcanic area is near Tindfjallajökul Glacier whose cooling effectcreates clear skies critical for spotting the Northern Lights. This area also has very few artificial lights to spoil your viewing as many of thefarms in the area were abandoned due to a previous volcanic eruption.

The beauty of this tour is that the guide will take you to the best area based on the forecast to see the Northern Lights and so give you thebest chance of seeing them. Depending on where you go you may go instead down to the beach or even stop for a warm up by making acampfire and a hot drink in a cave whilst your guide tells you about both the Northern Lights Phenomenon. It all depends on the forecast!

Overnight at Skalahot Manor Hotel after an amazing day of adventure, but don’t forget to keep an eye out for the Northern Lights too whichmay appear right overhead!

DAY 3Private SuperJeep Tour of South Coast Visiting Secret Ice Cave

Take a SuperJeep to Vik to a very old track that only SuperJeeps can cross in order to reach the Secret Ice Cave.

The ice cave, known as ‘The Secret Ice Cave’, and the glacier itself, present you with black, white, and blue ice that is over 800 years old!Inside the cave there are high walls of ice that have been sculpted by glacial water throughout the centuries. Water drips all around and theair is cold and fresh. Helmets (and Crampons if conditions require) are supplied.

The beauty of this cave it is not visited by hundreds of people unlike some of the others which means they don’t have the magicalatmosphere of this secret ice cave.

There are plenty of things to see on the way and back to Vik. The black volcanic beaches and dramatic basalt formations of Reynisdrangarwith its famous archway.

The high thundering Skogar Waterfall – one of the highest in Iceland at 60m and certainly worth a few photos! Finally everyone enjoys thestop at Seljalandsfoss Waterfall where you can walk behind and gaze out through the falling water. This tour takes about 5 hours.

We would also recommend you visit the spot where the first democratic parliament was established in 930 AD overlooking the stunningplains of Pingvellir.

“We were thrilled with our Iceland short-break which exceeded our expectations. The hotel was great and the staff and owner exceedinglyhelpful. We were placed in a room which we felt was one of the best in the hotel as it faced north and had its own back door, enabling us topop out and see the Northern Lights whenever they appeared (and yes they did – twice!). We had our guide to ourselves in a greatsuper-jeep! He went out of his way to be helpful and gave us a great really long and varied experience. The snowmobiling was alsowell-organised and great fun and absolutely everything ran to time. We loved it and have already recommended it to friends. Thanks fororganising everything for us.”
