IBS has an impeccable track record of achieving good placements

year on year. The best companies visit the campus every year. To

uphold this tradition, we at IBS constantly upgrade our curriculum

and pedagogy to keep abreast with the changing needs of business.

The strong emphasis on the ability of our students to outperform

their counterparts time and again is a proven fact. The students are

instilled with a strong cross functional perspective which forms the

essence of an ideal B-School.

IBS students are closely involved with all forms of industry

interface and gain hands-on experience, which leads to a deeper

understanding of management concepts. They are also encouraged

to organize seminars, management meets and workshops to develop

managerial and organizing skills, thus equipping them with the righttools to become tomorrows business leaders.

The placement activity that any management institute undertakes

is a reection of the participation of the institute in building the

careers of its students. To ensure this, IBS has set up the Career

Management Center (CMC) which looks after the placement

activities of its students throughout the year.

IBS believes that the entire placement exercise is a collaborative

effort between IBS and the students. While it provides guidance and

support through an extensive network with potential employers,

the students have the responsibility of putting in the maximum

possible efforts to obtain suitable placements.

IBS believes in creating opportunities for its students to apply

academic knowledge to real-life scenarios. Thus at IBS, all students

are required to take up Summer Internship Program (SIP) at any

organization. Through this students not only learn more but can also

complete a meaningful value added project for the company which

may lead to nal placement of the student. CMC at each campus

helps the students in obtaining the projects. Over the years, IBS has

gained extensive corporate support, with the result that summer

projects have been diverse, challenging and mutually benecial toboth the student and the corporate which in turn reects on the

nal placements.

At IBS we also provide training in soft skills, group discussions and

2012 have also started on a very encouraging note. Companies

from various sectors of the industry, national and international

companies have participated and recruited our students this year

with improved job proles and bigger pay packages. The best of

companies recruit from IBS every year and this year also the trend

Providing a Strong Foundation

In order to bridge the gap between the industry and thestudents they conduct various activities such as guest

lectures, pre-placement talks and workshops, which give

opportunities to the industry as well as the students

to interact with each other. Apart from academics the

students are given career counseling, training in soft

skills, group discussions and mock interviews for nal

placements.

Personality Development

The students are offered training in personality

development. They are sensitized to the importanceof entrepreneurship and leadership in ensuring

organizational success.

Career Counseling

Career counselors guide the students through the process

of investigating career options, which helps them in

making effective career decisions corresponding to their

interests, abilities, and work experiences.

Career Library

The students have access to a comprehensive collectionof information on various employers and also wide-

ranging listings of current job openings. The extensive

database of company information facilitates the search

for a job prole that matches the specied requirements

of the students.

Internships

Summer Internship Program (SIP) combines academic

inputs with practical training and offers industry-related,

hands-on experience in various career opportunities

while helping students make career choices in real worksituations and also gain future employment contacts by

networking with potential employers.

Strong Industry Interface

Industry interaction programs are organized by CMCfor placements with a cross-section of professionals

from various sectors like nancial services, management,

marketing, HRM, operations, information technology,

etc. A broad range of professional development seminars

are also organized with the industry for regular job

placements.

Final Placements

IBS networks with many organizations for nal

placements. Companies from various sectors visit the

IBS campuses to interview students for employment.

Placements (The Class of 2012)

IBS Placement Session for the Class of 2012 received

good response from the industry. More than 375 leading

recruiters have offered placements in IBS campuses.

These recruiters are from various sectors ranging from

BFSI to IT&ITES, Media & Research, Consulting and

Manufacturing offering a diverse prole to the studentscovering Finance, Marketing, Consulting, Operations and

IT domain.

Given the right kind of platform to apply their expertise

in the prevailing business environment, we believe

our students can achieve new heights in business

management and set their own standards of performance

in the industry. Thus, IBS has been establishing a strong

record of placements over the years. Our students are

effectively trained to be well-rounded professionals and

our placement records bear testimony to the fact.

Placements (The Class of 2013)

Placements for the class of 2013 have started on a very

encouraging note with all the IBS campuses recording

international placements. Around 1,300 students have

already been placed.
