Welcome to the biggest organic region in Europe Organic Food Iberia is the excitingnew trade event dedicated to pro-moting the organic food and wineindustry to key organic buyers fromthe Iberian Peninsula and acrossEurope. Organic Food Iberia is anevent with sound organic and sus-tainable principles, promoted inclose consultation with the organicindustry to establish itself as thedefinitive networking, educationaland business event of the year.

Organic Food Iberia will feature hundreds ofexhibitors, regional and international pavilions,keynote speakers, a conference, opinion formersand discussion panels presented by the leading fig-ures in the industry. The event will be co-locatedwith Eco Living Iberia, an event that will showcasenatural & certified organic beauty plus eco and eth-ical products.

The Iberian marketSpain has more land allocated to organic farming thanany other country in Europe. It has a total of 2MHectares devoted to organic. This makes Spain thebiggest organic and ecological producer in Europe andthe fourth in the world with a total of 40,000 operators.

Consumption of organic in Spain is increasing rapid-ly, with an annual growth rate of around 20%.Furthermore, food exports are one of the principalearners in Spain. There is also a significant growth of2.5% in the export of organic wine, during the last year.*

The Spanish population is 47 million and Portugalhas 10 million inhabitants. Whilst the organic market inPortugal is at an earlier stage of development, thereare currently 4000 producers and increasing consump-tion of organic.

With a major international marketing campaign anda hosted buyer programme, this will be the first fullyprofessional international organic trade fair to be host-ed in Spain.

The launch of Organic Food Iberia is as a directresult of requests for a high profile internationaltrade fair for the Iberian Peninsula, which canproperly reflect the importance of the region onthe international stage. The launch followsmonths of research and consultations with keystake holders, including exhibitors, trade-buyers,trade associations, the autonomous regions andthe government. The result of thiswork, is the launch of two sepa-rate co-located events, sup-porting the same principles;Organic Food Iberia and EcoLiving Iberia.

The two separate events willeach have their own distinctbranding, look and feel, servingdifferent audiences but benefitfrom the synergy and interna-tional reputation of both brands.Our intention is to grow these eventsto become one of the most important organictrade events in the world.
