Taking a concept to full production part with an installation team; I worked with 3 group companies, a range of a suppliers and trained the team. Company: Rittal CSM Title: Process Engineer Period: November 2014 – July 2015 Role: A role focused on the assembly and paint line departments. The role included

facilitating local improvement ideas; specifying, procuring and introducing new equipment with typical budgets of £100,000 and the support of major changes in production methodology to enable annual savings in excess of £250,000pa.

• Lead role in design and realisation of new layouts of the assembly facility. • Managed automation projects, from the handling of finished goods, to the 100% inspection of

improvement advocate and drove through culture change in the operations office and factory workforce.

Projects and Development: • Management Representative for ISO9001, taking ownership of the outdated Management

System documentation. I carrying out a Top down review of the Quality Manual and enabled the senior management to create new KPIs. I carried out internal audits that where described by BSI auditors as “comprehensive and investigative”.

• Lean and Six Sigma projects gave direct benefits of a 50% reduction in rework and 60% increase in output from one machine, in the first 6 months. Use of Kanban reduced stock holding by 40%. Studied OEE and process failure analysis to demonstrate the need for a machine upgrade; creating an additional £160k sales opportunities per annum from a £25K investment.

• Designed, develop and install a Lean manufacturing cell to facilitate a major step change in product design and component supply. Completed within the 1 month target and now exceeding production targets

Company: Permaban Ltd Title: Technical Engineer Period: November 2011 – February 2013 Role: Provided technical support to Operations; on quality, productivity and health and safety issues, in addition to supporting customers, sales team and distributors in Chile, SA, Russia, Germany and China. I established a satellite production operation in Chile under the umbrella of Permaban’s parent company, RCR and played a lead role team that undertook the launch of two new products.
