During the deployment several details were sent out to neighboring llllands From June through October one Corpsman wu uslgned at the Naval Ammunition Facility at Vleques serving first with lhP detail uslgned to build lhe LST Rllmp exlenalon and then with tile detail on the timber bumper replacement projecl DJring the perlod 20 June through 17 July a Corpamnn was attached to thtgt Alfa Company detail at Cerro Mallas on Vleques then from 23 October through 7 December another Corpsman accompmled Detail UNtFORM to the lsland or Mayashyguanll Involving a And ar-al operation From the period 8 December lhrough 16 December another Corpsman accompwed a second detail to Cerro 111Atlu Other dctaUs were provtood for by existing medical fllcWUes at tbelr varlous locations For the most part case loads of these Corpsman consisted o minor first aid treatment o lnsecl biles minor ~erationamp etc bullbull There were no major 11ecldents
