Gallery Several Indictments Are Returned Again Bntertnli iuent Committee The twentyfirst annual shad bake of the Aasoclatlon of the District of Columbia was held at Marshall Hall from 10 oclock in the morn- ing when the lawyers and their guests embarked at the Seventh street wharf until they returned last night at S oclock there was every evidence of a right good time and plenty of year the Bar Association gives a planked shad dinner at Marshall Hall and has as its guests the associate jus tires of the Supreme Court of the Dis- trict of Columbia and members of the Supreme Court of the United States But one justice of the United States Supreme Court attended yesterday Justice Har lan and he maintained reputation of being the best efagtohanded baseball player in the crowd Went to Ball Grounds Soon after the boat landed the younger attorneys went to the hall grounds and began to bat out flies Justice Har lan with his nearly fourscore years resting as lightly upon him as one third that number promptly discarded his coat and rolling up his sleeves began to bat to such distances that it required layed throws to return them to him Not only this the Justice made the high- est score of any of his competitors in the shooting gallery scoring nine out of twelve bulls eyes without his glasses The shad bake is strictly an executive session affair and reporters are never taken along It is a time when every body loosens up pats each other on the back and invilei him to have another and finally nother and finally throw- ing his arms affectionately around him leads him to the place cise they had enjoyed ate as if they never expected to eat again At the dinner the entertainment provided songs with lawyers and judges as heroes and those were greeted with roars of laughter One of ditty entitled Be Good It You Cannot Be Good Be Careful Another indictment was as follows That said accused with malice afore thought and in an effort to overthrow the United States its it titutions
