Advance’s Minerva Service helps women involved in the Criminal Justice System to move on with their lives. Our goal is to reduce re-offending amongst women and young women by providing dedicated support services tailored to women’s needs.
Our specialist Advocates work closely with probation, housing , health, children’s services and other professionals to get women all the help and advice they need, when they need it, from one place.

Advance Minerva offers specialised support to women in the criminal justice system across London:
Targeted support and advocacy for women to address practical needs for up to 12 months, including outreach services
Intensive one-to-one support for up to 18 months to help address multiple & complex needs
Safe, women-only local hubs pan-London and Women’s centres in West and North/East London
Access to tailored groups and workshops delivered by specialist providers across the 9 pathways
Dedicated young women’s services for 15+ years
Peer mentoring services
Through the Gate Support for women in custody (in HMP Downview, Send and Bronzefield) within 3 months prior to their release
Minerva uses a consent-based referral system.
All women who have been sentenced can be referred to the Minerva service.
Minerva Community Rehabilitation: Referrals can be made by Offender Managers via One Referral
Minerva WrapAround:Referrals from all other professionals can be sent to [email protected].
