"The Saviour of the World" I cannot tell why He, whom angels worship, Should set His love upon the souls of men, Or why, as Shepherd, He should seek the \-landerers, To bring them back, they know not how or when. But this I know, that He was born of Mary, Hhen :aethlem' s manger was His only home, And that He lived at Nazareth and laboured, And so the Saviour, SavioUr of the world, is come. I cannot tell how silently He suffered, As with His peace He graced this place of tears, Or how His Heart upon the Cross was broken, The crown of pain to th:ee and thirty years. But this I know, He heals the broken hearted, And stays our sin, and calms our lurking fear, And lifts the burden from the heavy-laden, For yet the Saviour, Saviour of the world,.is here. I cannot tell how He will win the nations, How He will claim His earthly heritage, How satisfy the needs and aspirations Of East and West, of sinner and of sage. But I know, all flesh shall see His glory, And He shall reap the harvest He has sown, And some glad day His sun shall shine in splendour When He the Saviour, Saviour of the world, is known. I cannot tell how all the lands shall worship, When, at His binding, every storm is stilled, Or who can sQy how g=eat the jubilation When all the hearts of men with love are filled. But this I know, the skies will fill with rapture, And myriad, myriad human voices sing, And earth to heaven, and heaven to earth, will answer; At last the Saviour, Saviour of the world is King! "The Saviour of the World"

I cannot tell why He, whom angels worship, Should set His love upon the souls of men, Or why, as Shepherd, He should seek the \-landerers, To bring them back, they know not how or when.

But tr~s I know, all flesh shall see His glory, And He shall reap the harvest He has sown, And some glad day His sun shall shine in splendour When He the Saviour, Saviour of the world, is known.

SHEPHERDS WANTED

Remember, it was The Lamb of God who said, in John 10:16, "And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold; them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice ... "

So come Sunday, March 22nd stand up for Him and stand out from the herd. Be a good shepherd and help guide your loved ones to greener pastures on Park.

"HOUNDS OF HEAVEN"

This Tuesday, March 17th, the "Hounds of Heaven" are off and running (or rather walking), on a new study book for Lent, The Workbook on the Christian Walk. This brand new workbook by Maxie Dunnam is a seven-week program of daily reading and excerises concerning our Christian discipleship and pilgrimage. The "Hounds" have read several of Maxie Dunnam's books and found them to be inspirational tools for discussion and spiritual growth.

Dee Schaffield will be leading the study group Tuesdays from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm. In these meetings, we explore our faith, share ideas, and struggle with the stresses of daily living as we help each other to grow in the spirit of true caring, love and laughter in Christ. Afterwards, any hungry "Hounds" gather for dinner to continue the fellowship and fun at a local restaurant.

Woody Allen once said ... "95% of life is just showing up." So join hands with other "Hounds" Tuesday, March 17th, as we take the "Christian Walk" together down the "green" road of life.

ANTHEM: "Alas, Poor World"

"Alas, poor world, thou mockest me; that I do know most certainly, but still I must perceive Thee. Thou faithless world, Thou art not true. in pain and woe, I know that too. The fires of hell shall grieve Thee. Thy goods, thy worth cannot prevail; in death, in need they all shall fail; Thy wealth is but an empty tale; God grant that I leave Thee".

ANTHEM: "Bow Down Thine Ear"

"Bow down Thine ear, 0 Lord, and hear me, I am poor and needy, for Thou art good, 0 Lord, and ready to forgive us our many transgressions.

Teach me Thy way, Lord, God. I will walk in Thy truth. Incline my heart to love Thy Name evermore. Holy Lord most merciful, save and redeem us, and be Thou forgiving. For Thy most Holy Name's sake 0 Lord, my God.

Bow down Thine ear, 0 Lord, and attend to the voice of my prayer. And save Thou Thy servant, 0 Lord my God."

0 God, the loving Father of us all, give us the wisdom born of love to see beneath the surface of other human lives, the aspiration and struggle, the hopes and fears. Give us the discernment to sense the burdens that are borne silently - the closed doors, the handicaps of life, the hidden tragedies and the hidden heroisms. May we look out upon our fellows with the eyes of the heart as well as with the eyes of the mind; that in grateful response to Your mercy, we may be endlessly, incredibly merciful, through Jesus Christ, our Lord.
