Where is the preamble in the Constitution?

It tells us the purpose of what we are about to read.What does an introduction do?

It tells us why we have the Constitution(the purpose of the Constitution).

• Provide for the common defense– To keep people safe

• Ensure domestic tranquility– To have peace at home

• Promote the general welfare– to make sure people are happy, healthy, and prosperous

• Secure the blessings of liberty– To keep people free
