Hydrophobic Spacer Molecules can be used to enhance the effciency of formation of the complex between biotynylated peptides and antibodies and avidin probe conjugates via enhancement of the biotins ability to interreact with the binding cleft of Avidin, this is particularily usefull in ELISA assays.
