PRODUCT OVERVIEWThe Artemis Technologies compact Hydraulic Power Unit (HPU)
combines high efficiency, CAN based integrated controller
smart motor with a micro hydraulic pump for an incredibly high
power density unit.
With a nominal voltage of 24v, and and a maximum RPM of
5000, the unit is ideal for the limited space and on-demand
power requirements of of weight critical applications including
foiling boats. With options to run higher-flow/ lower pressure
units and high pressure/ low flow displacements, this 5kg pump
can suit most applications.

Signal definitionsCPM_OperationalState - defines the mode of operation for the unit between normal operation, degraded state or disabled.
CPM_TempLimitWarning and CPM_CurrentLimitWarning - define whether either temperature or current based limits are being
exceeded.
The various CutOff channels state the reason why the motor has been disabled through either use or environment.
CPM_ControlModeActual - displays the mode of operation for the unit via either speed, current or torque control. Error states
are also handled in this field.
CPM_SupplyVoltage - is the voltage that is being supplied to the unit measure at the terminals.
CPM_MotorTemp - is the internal temperature of the motor and used in the derating scheme.
CPM_ExternalMotorLatch - shows the state of enabling the motor via the 6 pin DT connector.
CPM_MotorTemp2 - is an option that is not fitted in the current configuration.
CPM_MessageCounterStatus - is an incremental counter.
CPM_MessageChecksumStatus - is the checksum masked into a nibble.

INSTALLATION• The pump is able to operate in an environment with air flow, which is preferably cool compared to the ambient tempera-
ture.
• The unit is design to operate up to an internal temperature of 70 deg C before the pump begins to derate in order to
prevent the unit from overheating.
• It is advisable to consult ATL when integrating the pump in your application to ensure that it is able to perform at it’s
optimum ability.
The electrical pinout of the unit is:
