KNUD E. HANSEN handles HVAC assignments on newbuilds, refits and conversions, on every type and size of vessel, all over the world.

We provide support at every stage of the process, from design to build and installation. Our scope covers everything from general consultancy and project management to core design and engineering.

Our design scope caters for the provision of Basic as well as Detail Design, system and equipment lists, operational calculations and the full range of descriptive diagrams, both 2D and 3D.

As consultants we are able to check and approve designs carried out by third parties, carry out inspections and surveys on site, offer a network to suppliers and carry our procurement, as well as offering a detailed price breakdown.

We work either independently or in cooperation with third parties to deliver a service that best suits your requirements, whatever they may be.

There are a range of actions that can be carried out on any HVAC system in order to maximise efficiency, this covers both mechanical and automation.

As an example of this, one of our important projects enabled improved efficiency up to 25 %, giving a return on investment in under 6 months.

Our permanent, in-house team of mechanical engineers and designers are equipped with in-depth specialist knowledge of thermodynamics, heat transfer and fluid dynamics, enabling us to define the best solution for each HVAC project individually.
