CHALLENGES “APACHE II” is a large vessel with high focus on quality, func- tionality and comfort. This job was a turn-key job for Novenco, including installation work of all HVAC-systems in the vessel. Running the project from our Norwegian office sets high demands on local pres- ence, local partners, good communication, smooth logistics and on-board supervision. Class notation is as expected of a high class offshore vessel with strong requirements for noise, redundancy, environ- mental design as well as Wheelhouse comfort and safety. SOLUTIONS The success of integrating well-functioning HVAC-systems in a ship requires a good cooperation between shipyard, ship owner, ship designer and HVAC-supplier. The size of the vessel, combined with the high focus on quality, functionality and comfort required Novenco to put on an experienced team of engineers. reduce noise and pressure loss.Novenco’s long term cooperation with Exacta for installation work has been of vital importance for our ability to deliver a turn-key job for such a complex project with such a close local supervision.Environmental friendly design requires high efficiency equipment to reduce the power consumption and finally reduce the emission to air from power plant. This vessel has

installed enthalpy exchangers for the main air handling units, recovering 70% of the energy. AHU fans are capacity con-trolled according to system pressure. Engine room fans are of high efficiency type, improved with automatic frequency drives to adjust the airflow according to the actual need of the engine room machinery. Novenco’s name on such envi-ronmental friendly design is e Vent.
