MESSAGE FROM MR JAMES

I had the pleasure of visiting Year 6, who are currently on their residential in Bowles, this week. What an amazing venue! All the children were having a brilliant time completing an array of

activities including: kayaking, rock climbing, orienteering, skiing and archery to name just a few. I was surprised to hear that they had slept well and the highlight for many was the ‘scrumptious’ food! The staff informed me that the children have all been so well behaved and shown great

resilience in completing some of the adventurous activities. I am sure they will be talking about the visit for the rest of the year.

Next week, I have introduced a ‘low level week’ for staff. The main aim of this initiative is to allow staff to focus primarily on delivering excellent lessons without having to attend meetings or

complete marking in books. Low level week also enables teachers to start considering their plans for next half term. We will not send a newsletter out next week, so I hope everyone has a

wonderful last four days of this half term and enjoys a relaxing half term holiday. Mr James
