• Southwest Branch• Resources staged at Florida State Fair Grounds –
Tampa (Hillsborough Co.), Citrus Bowl (Orlando, Orange Co, Volusia County Fairgrounds, Miami Metro Area, Miami-Dade County.
• ESF 8• Special Needs Sheltering
• As of 2000 10/23/2005, 29 SpNS shelters were opened.
• Confirmed census of 1100+• Quickly assess and reopen Health Care Facilities.• Determine time and level of care needed for
returning evacuees.
Emergency Services• Current Issues (cont)
• ESF 10• 2 two-person Hazmat teams deployed to Tampa • Coast Guard and EPA partners assisting ESF 10• 14 State parks and preserves is south Florida are closed• Monitoring of phosphate mines continues
• ESF 16• 702 State Law Enforcement assets have been identified and are
prepared for deployment• 986 Sheriff's Office and Police Department personnel have
prepared for deployment at the direction of ESF 16 at the State EOC
• Search and Rescue Law Enforcement Support and Coordination Plan has been initiated with 163 personnel staged and prepared to respond from Tampa, Orlando and Miami.
• Regional Law Enforcement Command Centers activated in Ft. Myers, Miami, Tampa and Orlando
• 172 State and Local Law Enforcement officers are staged for movement into the affected area post impact
• IMT staged in Tampa for response to most heavily impacted area

• ESF 4&9• Continue to monitor Hurricane Wilma activities
• ESF 8• Continue post-impact contingency planning and response.• Continue to roster teams at the county and regional level for
possible deployment based on identified needs e.g. Special Needs Shelter management, epidemiology and environmental health teams.
• ESF10• 2 two-person Hazmat teams to deploy to Ormond Beach• Continue to monitor track for possible park closures• Forward deployment of State & Federal Response Teams

Human Services• Current Issues
• ESF 6: • Estimated 121 shelters open with 32,767 evacuees; 75
shelters on stand-by. • ESF 6, ARC, and TSA preparing to distribute 200,000 meals a
day• Distribution will be by mobile feeding and fixed feeding sites. • ARC heater meals will be used for target populations that
cannot go to PODs. • Decision will be made concerning contract catering to
augment/meet any shortfalls in targeted meal quantity.• ESF 11:
• 5 truckloads of water and 85 truckloads of ice in White Springs.
• Additional 25 truckloads of water waiting to be uploaded and additional 15 truckloads of ice due to arrive by Monday.
• 142 truckloads of water and 115 truckloads of ice remain in storage.
• 3 truckloads of baby food on site in warehouse ready for deployment to LSA once it opens.
• Placed order with USDA for canned meats. • Over 90,000 cases of USDA foods on hand in state contracted
warehouse.
Human Services• Current Issues (cont)
• ESF 15:• Continuing to coordinate with County ESF liaisons and
volunteer support organizations.• ESF 17:
• Animal movement restrictions lifted to facilitate animal evacuation.
• Emergency animal shelter information posted and distributed.• Confirmed 5 County pet-friendly shelters open and 2 staged
but not open.• Coordinating with law enforcement for dairy/milk transport
clearances pre-/post- impact.• Incident Management Team activated and on stand-by.• Maintaining contact with County ESF-17 coordinators.
• Other HS Functions:• Department of Education: All schools south of I-4 corridor
closed as well as Hernando, Sumter, Lake and Volusia Counties..
• Department of Children & Families, Department of Elder Affairs, Agency for Workforce Innovation (AWI), and some Community Emergency Management Teams (CERT) monitoring situation and preparing as appropriate.
Human Services
• Unmet Needs:• ESF 6:
• Dunbar High School in Lee County, currently housing 210 people, is without power as of 0611 hours.
• Future Operations:• Prepare and reviise list of kitchen locations as they are
identified.• Continue to update the shelter database.• Respond to County mission requests.• Coordinating deliveries of USDA commodities to state-
contracted warehouse, ARC, and TSA.• LSA team ready for deployment to West Palm Beach.• Continue to staff ESF room in the State EOC.• Volunteer & Donations Hotline expected to be operational
8AM-8PM as of Tuesday.• Incident Management Team Command and General Staff
planning and propositioning.

short tenders (> 4,000 gal ea.) available
• ELECTRIC• FP&L, Co-ops and municipals report that 7,000 out-of-
state and mutual aid crews are on standby• Power outage reports on tracker #380, and Estimated
Times of Restoration on tracker #390• Approx 380,000 customers report without electric
service
