When Rail Guns are perfected they will revolutionize how weapons are maintained and what they are capable of. They will make weapons safer, and weapon jams virtually impossible to experience. They aren't only being developed to be applicable to small arms, they are working on making rail guns capable of delivering high speed missiles to target.
