•A business’s human resource is the people who work for it
•Human resources management is the process of finding, selecting, training, and evaluating employees.
•The first step in this process is finding the right person for the job.
Job Description
•Job description is a detailed outline of the duties, qualifications and conditions required to do a specific job
•Compensation is how much the job pays and the benefits offered

Steps in Selecting a Candidate for a Job•Each candidate must fill out an
application listing his experience, skills, and references
•Interview the candidate to get detailed information about them
•Test the candidate to make sure they have the right skills
