Fabric requirements:

36 Ten inch squares exchange blocks1 ½ yards for blocks (white)2 ¼ yards for border (green)1 Fat Quarter for cornerstone of sashing

Cutting Directions

From 30 of the Ten inch squares:Please cut in this order:

Cut one - 2 x 10 inchesCut one - 2 x 8 ½ inchesCut one - 3 ½ squareCut two – 2 x 3 ½ rectanglesCut two – 2 x 6 ½ rectangle

Cutting directions continued

From remaining 6 exchange squaresCut three 2 inch strips

From white fabric:Cut 25 two inch strips width of fabricSub cut 10 of these into 6 ½ inches. Need 60 rectangles measuring 2 x 6 ½”.Sub cut 15 of these into 9 ½ inches. Need 60 rectangles measuring 2 x 9 ½”.

From fat quarter:

Cut 42 – 1 ½ inch squares

From border fabric:Cut 4 strips 5 inches wide the length wise of the fabri

To piece the block…….

Choose a 3 ½ square and a coordinating color for the first round.

 

This block should measure 6 ½ inches unfinished

Second round is the white fabric.

This block should measure 9 ½ inches unfinished.

Now construct strips sets for sashing.Sew 6 different color strips of 2 x 10” for block to be sub cut into 1 ½ inchstrips for sashing. Each block will yield 6 strips.Repeat with the 2 x 8 ½”. This yields 5 strips per block.Need total of 71 strip sets.

Construct Quilt as shown
