1 Message from the Administration: Dear Parents, As I write this message, I find myself in the enviable position of watching, and thoroughly enjoying, the IASAS Rugby and Touch tourna ments, hosted this year here at ISM . The boys performed as well as we hoped yesterday (Thursday), with a first game defeat to SAS, Singapore followed by a last second (literally, last second) victory against ISB, Bangkok. Our girls made a confident and commanding start to this year’s campaign with a 5-0 win against JIS, Jakarta followed by a second, albeit more narrow, victory against TAS, Taipei. It is encouraging to witness the excellent level of s upport by our ES, MS and HS students and teachers, together with many, many parents here to enjoy the games. Please come out to ISM tomorrow, (Saturday, February 4 th ) to both support or sports men and women and to enjoy the competition. The schedule of games can be found at iasas.ismanila.org/rugby/schedule. Elsewhere in the region our ISM athletes have made a strong start – with Basketball in Bangkok, Swimming in Jakarta, and Tennis in KL. The results for all these, including the Rugby and Touch can be found on the iasas.asia website. Good luck to all our athletes. As Mr. Brown stated in last week’s Friday Bulletin, we are rapidly approaching the time of year when students make their selections for the courses that they would like to study next academic year, 2012-2013. Please take the time to review the “High School Course Offerings 2012-2013” handbook that is available to browse online on our website at www.ismanila.org. Make sure that you have discussed the courses that your son or daughter would like to take next year so that they align with their future plans and aspirations. A large part of next Tuesday’s High School Parent Coffee will focus on the course selection process – if you can make it we would love for you to attend this session at 9:30 in the Little Theatre. Dear Parents,

As I write this message, I find myself in the enviable position of watching, and thoroughly enjoying, the

IASAS Rugby and Touch tournaments, hosted this year here at ISM. The boys performed as well as we hoped

yesterday (Thursday), with a first game defeat to SAS, Singapore followed by a last second (literally, last

second) victory against ISB, Bangkok. Our girls made a confident and commanding start to this year’s

campaign with a 5-0 win against JIS, Jakarta followed by a second, albeit more narrow, victory against TAS,Taipei. It is encouraging to witness the excellent level of support by our ES, MS and HS students and

teachers, together with many, many parents here to enjoy the games.

Please come out to ISM tomorrow, (Saturday, February 4th) to both support or sports men and women and to

enjoy the competition. The schedule of games can be found at iasas.ismanila.org/rugby/schedule.

Elsewhere in the region our ISM athletes have made a strong start – with Basketball in Bangkok, Swimming in

Visiting  university  campuses  is  a  great  way  for

universities  are  good  fits  for  them.  Touring  a  campus,

experiencing  dorm  life  are  all  helpful  in  determining  to

which schools a student will apply and to which school he

encouraged,  when  possible,  for  students  currently  in

Various  companies  provide  “packaged”  college

TS  College  Tours  focuses  exclusively  on  the

backgrounds,  needs  and  interests  of   students  attending

international  schools who hope  to  attend  college  in  the

US or Canada.  The  founder of   the  company  is a  former
