GENERAL FAN COMPANY
History of GFCWas formed in 1954 as a small manufacturing unit for electric fans. The company grew rapidly from its
modest start because of the quality of its product. The company was one of the major exporters of fans
in 1960,s to Iraq. However the company was in trouble in late 1970 due to differences in its partners.
The present management took over the company in 1978 and engineer Muhammad Ilyas took over as a
chief executive of the company. Under his dynamic leadership the company grew rapidly and GFC
became major recognized brand for fans in Pakistani market. Mr. Muhammad Ilyas the chief executive
who is a foreign trained electrical engineer brought in new technologies for fan manufacturing from
developed countries and improve GFC products in a continuous process.
Introduction
GFC is one of the biggest exporters of Pakistan. Their major products are ceiling fans, pedestal fans, TCP
plastic & table fans, circo and wall bracket fans, louver fans, exhaust fan, skimming machine, enameled
copper wire, cooler fan, pumps, washing machines and geysers and air conditioners.

Our objective is to study that how HRM department working in GFC. We will study the HRM Functions of the GFC.
