Human Resources Strategic Initiative
• The goal of the HR initiative is to foster an environment where CCSNH is an employer of choice and works to continuously improve employee engagement through enhanced communication
• One of four strategic initiatives that the Board of Trustees asked the Chancellor to focus on as part of the 2014 Strategic Plan

HR: “Employer of Choice” InitiativeTeam focused on simultaneously setting the stage for continuous improvement by creating a process for more regular feedback and process/system improvements.
1. Initiating an employee engagement/climate survey across CCSNH
2. Redesigning Sysnet to become a home for transparent internal communications and information about CCSNH and each of the seven colleges
3. Identifying system processes that need to be modified to achieve efficiency and consistency, and recommending ways to share internal and external best practices

• Timeline• Define – Winter, 2014• Kick Off – Spring, 2014• Results – Fall, 2014• Repeat Process – Every 2 years
• Structure• Independent/External Survey Firm• No personal info• Data compiled across CCSNH and by college
• Action - Identify areas of improvement & develop practices, policies, and behaviors that enhance the workplace

• Reorganize content to create intuitive, useful information hub for CCSNH faculty and staff
• Include content that engages our system-wide community and reinforces our mission and values
• Branded look and feel similar to CCSNH website
