If you can’t find their rules, figure out who the leader of the group is and reach out to them and ask. If you can’t figure out who the leader is, ask the people in the group what the rules of the group are and/or where you can find them. Very important note:Before you do ANYTHING in a group, check their rules {they’re usually in the de-scription area on the right side bar or it’s a document in the file section}. If you can’t find their rules, figure out who the leader of the group is and reach out to them and ask. If you can’t figure out who the leader is, ask the people in the group what the rules of the group are and/or where you can find them. Moral of the story: there are NO excuses as to why you can’t find the rules of a group. And don’t postANYTHING until you know exactly what they are.

The Invitation1. If you’re looking for people to sign up for a free anything {PDF, free gift, webinar,

etc.}, don’t include the link in the post - tell people that if they want to receive it, they need to comment below with a certain word. Then once a handful of peo-ple have signed up, you can share the link in the comment section and then later on, edit the post and include it in the post as well. People are more likely to take action when they need to in order to receive something.

2. Post a picture of yourself with words on it or a just a picture or a meme you cre-ate - it draws people’s eyes to the post more easily.

The EngagementYou have to BE there in the thread with everyone else. Click on the date/time and the permalink for that post will appear. Open a new tab. And KEEP IT OPEN. Visit it frequently. If anyone comments, reply to them as soon as possible and tag their name. People like to feel seen + heard. If comments dwindle, go back to the post and invite future comments. Keep the conversation going. That is YOUR responsibili-ty, not the community’s.
